I just got a call from the deputy who took the report. He spoke with the detective who usually handles these cases and since I'm not out any money that I know of they aren't gonna pursue the case

Call DHS and tell them that someone's been using your account and you're afraid it's a terrorist.

We had a hacker threat a few years ago - called the FBI to report it and they couldn't have cared less. So there ya go - law enforcement at its finest.

It doesn't matter what they get paid. Crime is crime. And just because CMC didn't lose any money doesn't make it less of a crime. The kid could have gotten her banking passwords, if she trades stocks online, her email - anything.

True, I guess what I'm saying is that they have to worry about worse crimes than IM take over. Until the chitlin' actually does something that crosses that boundary the enforcement in this county has other things to worry about.

Here's an idea: Post the full name, address, and telephone number of the parents, along with a description of the fraud/theft perpetrated by the kid, everywhere. Embarrass the parents into controlling and disciplining their offspring. Hold them accountable for what they facilitated.
