I have bought furniture from Ikea and put my armoire together. That box was very heavy..LOL. I haven't been to an Ikea in a few years. I feel a trip coming on..

This is where I got my entertainment center. It's one of the only places I've found that ONLY uses solid wood. Mine is made out of maple and is very sturdy. It might be worth a drive if you can't find what you're looking for locally.

You can also try Ikea. There's one up in College Park now. I stopped in there a couple of weeks ago.

I looked there, I'll have to look again. But it was a few years back so I will try again. My ex hubby had made me one but he built it into the wall. When I left I couldn't take it..

I had a bed and night stand in my computer room from Ikea but I had a guy put the bed together..I think it was called Visdelin(sp), white with pine. I gave them to a g-daughter for her room.

It's in one of those no-name strip malls so it's very easy to overlook. The place is always packed with stuff and the owners are very nice.

This is the piece I bought. Solid spruce. The only thing that isn't solid is the back, which is fiberboard. It takes stain very easily and assembly was a breeze.

The Lowe's in Waldorf does not carry furniture anymore. They discontinued it about 3 months ago and everything was sold.

The Califoria Lowe's put their's on clearence about a month ago.
