Sockgirl is Chasey... That explains a lot of things.
So, did I have dinner with Chasey & Day or Socki & Day?!
I'm so

And how much of that car was steel that on today's cars is plastic and fiberglass?
I disagree. If you don't buckle them, You don't love them.
What is your point?

I disagree.
You're a judgmental little ####, aren't you?
My point, besides the one at the top of your head, is that the little Mommies of the World should really worry about their own children and stop trying to control everyone else's. If YOU feel that your child should be restrained in a vehicle, do it. If someone else doesn't feel the need for that, take your nose out of their business.
Just because *you* think something is dangerous doesn't mean it is. That kid Socki saw will probably live to be an old codger who dies of natural causes in their bed, and she'll have spent precious moments of her life worrying about it when she could more productively use that time.
When you and Vrai agree, it gives me hope.I agree with you
My daughter rides on the front passenger seat because I like having her close to me. I don't buckle her in because I don't want to wrinkle her pretty dress.

I would call you a moron but I don't want Lenny to get so angry that he calls up Squiggy for backup.
I agree with you, except for the "dangerous" part. Studies have been done and they always show that seat belts save lives . If someone wants to drive around with an unrestrained kid and he/she gets killed in an accident, that's their business. I don't have to live with the guilt, they do.
There are also studies that show that seatbelts can actually do more harm than good(i.e. the lapbelt locks and does internal damage)
If the lap belt is positioned properly (over the pelvis) then it won't do any internal damage.

You should just put her in your lap, that way you can smooth her dress easier if it gets mussed.
True story, though:
When my ex and I were brand new parents, there was a story in the news about this woman who had her infant in the carseat in back (which was wrong because back then they told you to put the baby in the front seat because there was no such thing as a killer airbag). Anyway, baby's in the back seat, and when she got to her destination, the baby was dead. Strangled somehow and the Mom didn't know there was a problem because she couldn't see the baby.
I'm just sayin'....
