US Army Troops Mess With Iraqi Kids

I don't want to play the discreditor here but someone has to throw the big red flag up and ask why a news organization is using YouTube videos as their source. That video could have been posted by anyone from anywhere. Very little credibility here. :bigwhoop:

Thats not funny, it's disgusting.
Eveywhere the Army has ever been, that's been one of the games GI's play with the locals.. and I'm sure the Army is not the only ones that do it. So unless you've been in their shoes, don't judge.

Like I said, we did it to German kids with C-Rations, and they would run behind us just the same, and you know what, those kids weren't starving, they weren't in need of food, but it was a game to both the kid and the GI's. Anything to brighten the day for some GI that's stuck 3000 miles from home.

I'm sure it wasn't life or death for the little Iraqui kid to get that bottle of water, because if it was, it wouldn't have been the little kid running after it, he would have been trampled by the hordes of adults trying to get to it.

You know maybe it is a game, I didn't listen to the audio, it just looked wrong and sad. I feel for the troops stuck over there. I don't think most soldiers amuse themselves that way but then again I'm not there. I can say that I grew up military with a father who spent 23 years in the military, I can't imagine him having done things like that??

Depending on what he did in the military, I would bet yes, yes he did... If the kids are laughing and playing along, and the soldiers are laughing and playing along, what's the harm? The only part of the whole video that sucked was the kid that did all the running didn't win.

That part bothered me mostly too!! If they were indeed having fun, then no harm done. BTW, I'm going to ask him, maybe I'm in for a rude awakening!! :lmao:

Sorry Elaine. Teasing is a little different than withholding an item that is required to stay alive in a friggin war zone.
I think water is required to stay alive friggin everywhere. Besides, I read on a blog that it was actually a trucker bomb.

No! Only in a war zone. Pay attention.

The things people get upset about, I swear. Get a friggin' life.
