Vacation

If I could go anyplace I would go here:

Marsh Harbour - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lots of boaters and some cozy Inns and good food.

Plenty of day trips to take off the island. Mosquito Cay is something you would never forget.

Oh... and this! http://www.missemilysbluebeebar.com/

Cracked Conch.

Not at Emily's. Conch Inn on Marsh Harbour had the best...JMO.

The planes flying in from Miami. Well...I'm scared of them all.

Bermuda is my second favorite.

Atlantis is very over-commercialized and expensive. You'd be better off booking an all inclusive, and there are far better destinations than Nassau, Bahamas.

I've been all over the Caribbean. Alot will depend on your budget, but for a couple St. Lucia is amazing. Very romantic, beautiful and lush. Lots of culture and excursions and some great resorts.

Hubby & I went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon and LOVED it there! Rented jetskiis, went ziplining, went 4 wheeling, just enjoyed the beautiful scenery. I want to go back so bad! Where did you stay?

I also loved Grand Cayman. Took a submarine tour, swam with the stingrays. Another place I'd love to go back to.

I stayed at Sandals Regency La Toc, but also visited the other 2 Sandals properties as well.
One of the excursions I took was to La Sikwie sugar mill and plantation in Anse la Reye, then we stopped for a few drinks in Marigot Bay, which is absolutely beautiful.

I beleive Pink Flamingo would take great care of any client with her suggestions and experience! She has been wonderful with helping us plan our trips and listening to our wants and needs.

Thank you everyone for the input. It looks like we are leaning towards the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. It looks pretty awesome. She still wants to do some more reserch on some places but the Atlantis is the front runner so far.

Thanks again for all the input everybody!!!

What time of year are you going? I've been to Atlantis in the winter and summer months and I'll never go back in the summer. It is extremely crowded and HOT!! So hot you cannot even walk on the pavement. When I was there last August I was running from shaded spot to shaded spot on the concrete. It was miserable.

I'm willing to bet there is a ton of kids wherever/whenever you go on your family vacation...

Good point! As much as I love my little man, if I'm going away with hubby for a romantic vacation we're going to a Sandals or some other kidless place. :yahoo: :killingme

You'll like Atlantis, especially if you're taking kids along. If it a couple's vacation, you'd probably like the Cove or Reef best. We go every year, usually in July and stay at the Haborside section which are condo style. For families, the Royal, Coral or Beach Towers or best. And, yes, the walkways do get hot during the summer.
