Yeah, we checked into prices and thats not a problem. No honeymoon, just a get away without kids for us. I'm not sure if I'd like a cruise. I know that sounds weird...

Cruises arent for everyone so I get that. Maybe try taking a short one and see if you enjoy it.

What about Bermuda? That is close and absolutely GORGEOUS! My favorite by far. You can either fly or get a cruise. There are lines that actually leave from Baltimore also so you wouldnt have to worry about air fare :buddies:

If you would prefer flying my aunt stayed here for her honeymoon and LOVED it!!

I have heard some good things about Bermuda. For some reason, that never even crossed my mind.

It is gorgeous, safe, and CLEAN. You wont be bombarded w/ locals trying to sell you things or beg for money. Their bus/ferry system is a great way to get around the island.

It is pretty expensive though because they basically have to have everything (milk, veggies, etc) shipped in. So cruising is an affordable way to see Bermuda, or that all inclusive that I attached.

Here are some pictures from our visit.

Aruba.

Just watch out if your Significant Other takes out a $1,000,000 Travel Insurance plan on you just before you go.

I think Tortola in the British Virgin Islands is a romantic place to spend a week. I also like St. John's in the US Virgin Islands - lots of secluded beaches. 60% of the island is National Park - beautiful!

For something totally different, consider Iceland in July. It is a beautiful country. There is a network of cabins on farms that are very private. Many of them have hot tubs on the decks. We did this about 5 years ago and enjoyed it immensely. It gets you in a European country in about the same amount of time that it takes you to fly to Los Angeles.

I go there every year in July. Some on here hate it because of 2 high profile cases. I have never had a problem there. I have been to other islands and this by far is my favorite. It's very affordable. I have no problem renting a car and driving all over the island. The locals are very friendly. Don't go all-inclusive if you go. The restaurants there are awesome and you don't want to be stuck eating at your resort restaurant. Hook up with Arubabobsnorkling.com for some of the best snorkeling you can do. Dulles has a direct morning flight on Saturdays on United and BWI has a direct morning flight on Saturday on Air Tran

Thank you everyone for the input. It looks like we are leaning towards the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. It looks pretty awesome. She still wants to do some more reserch on some places but the Atlantis is the front runner so far.

Thanks again for all the input everybody!!!

Atlantis is very over-commercialized and expensive. You'd be better off booking an all inclusive, and there are far better destinations than Nassau, Bahamas.

I've been all over the Caribbean. Alot will depend on your budget, but for a couple St. Lucia is amazing. Very romantic, beautiful and lush. Lots of culture and excursions and some great resorts.
