Assault weapon is a manufactured term to generate fear in the uneducated like you and changes on a whim, these are nothing more than a popular semi-automatic rifle. You know, the type that fire a single shot with each trigger pull. Assault rifles on the other hand have the ability of select fire where they can be either semi-automatic or fully automatic rifles that continue to fire until the trigger is released.

Until you know the difference you might just want to keep your yap shut.
