a $35,000 Rabbit??

If I was going to spend 35K on a compact car, think there are better choices.. but, not my money!

Her husband must really love her!!

Actually, it is a pretty nice little quick car, if only it weighed a little less- but nonetheless I would love to trade in my Jetta for an R32. This was a limited edition run of a high-performance 240HP, 3.2 liter V6, 6-speed manual, all-wheel drive Golf.

Not too limited.. they are still making, importing and selling them in the US..

What kind of VW is it that it was 1 of 5000 made?

I don't hink I've heard anything bad about VW before, so what was the problem and how much are they charging you for the new engine?

its a 2002 vw passat w8 4 motion baby.. and I am not having to pay crap for any of it... although it has taken over a month and a half for my car to get fixed.

That is just because of the area with live in. It is a PITA to get parts for any foreign vehicle other than toyota and maybe honda.

We've purchased 2 cars from Southern Toyota... both times where awesome. The Matrix needed to have the tires balanced and front end alignment, the problem was fixed right before my g/f signed the paperwork. My 4Runner had a slight problem with the gas cap not wanting to stay shut, problem fixed on the spot. Also, I was missing the wheel lock key, they pulled off the 4 wheel lockes and gave me new set of wheel locks; I went in 3 weeks after purchasing the 4Runner.

If your having a problem with the saleperson, speak to the sales manager... if he is no help speak to the owner is office is on the right side just as you walk in.

I do not work for Southern Toyota, I bought my 4Runner from them instead of Prince Frederick Ford when I was working at Ford.

If you go to The Rip Off Report the only problem matic dealership in Southern MD is Prince Frederick Ford.

Thinking about a new truck this year. Maybe get a Toyota Tacoma from these guys. Been waiting for a good local dealer down here where I don't have to drive 50 mi to get it serviced.

In Maryland the "lemon law" applies to ANY vehicle (new or used) with less than 15,000 miles on the odometer and less than 15 months old, counted from the date of original purchase by an individual (not a dealer/wholesaler).

How many of them work for SO.MD.Toyota they do have shills that do come into these forums too make them look good.

How many others posts posing these questions that work for another dealership? :bigwhoop:

I have said it once and I will say it again...

If you want a Toyota - go see John Link... other times I have posted about Waldorf Toyota when he was there... now he is @ SOMD Toyota. I could give a rats ass what dealership my buddy is at, but he will treat you right and not BS you.

I also have a close friend who is a sales manager with Jack Winegardner...

...and guess what? I own 2 Toyota's and 1 Chevy - and all 3 I got THE rock bottom deal with no hassle. I have sent others to both John Link (Toyta) and Leroy Walker (Winegardner Chevy)...

Not ALL of us work at car dealerships - we normally speak from our experiences... :smack:

Buy it where you want and get it serviced where you want!

I bought my 2500HD from Winegardners Chevy in Fort Washington... it had a problem with a transmission tail shaft housing seal... they looked at it 3 times and could not fix it. I finally got ticked off and called Ken Dixon - they gave me some BS about "cannot do it since I did not buy it there and they could not want to do the warranty" - which I know is a load of crap because they worked on my Suburban I did not buy from them...

I took the truck to Ourisman in Marlow Heights as they work on a ton of HD's - they said no problem and fixed it up for me first shot! They told me any dealer can work on any car, as long as it is the same make, for warranty work - don't let the dealer tell you otherwise.

For me, the only purpose served by Toyota of SoMD is to cover a 1/4 mile strech of Rt. 235 with gravel from their new construction site.

So.md.toyota

Well its been over two months since I bought my two cars from SOUTHERN MD.TOYOTA,and mr.SHOEMAKER, and mr.PEED promise they would find the missing key & remote for the avalon or they would get me a new one well they did cut me a key at no cost but still no remote. So I called SO.MD.TOYOTA,and asked for mr.PEED,and was told he was not in much to my surprise so I ask to speak with mr SHOEMAKER,and was told he no longer had anything to do with the cars his job was to just sell them not to have them serviced. So I ask to speak with a manager, they put someone on the phone who I do not think was the manager, cause he was really rude I ask about the remote, and he said they could'nt find the damn thing, and they would get me one at cost, and that they were not in business to give any thing away.I told him thanks, and yes I would like to buy one but it sure as hell won't be from SOUTHERN MARYLAND TOYOTA.

All of this reminds me of when I sold cars, and was told that if a customer bought a car in,and said there was something wrong with it then have the service dept.find something wrong even if its not as long as its out of warranty so that we can charge them for our time.
