Well its been over two months since I bought my two cars from SOUTHERN MD.TOYOTA,and mr.SHOEMAKER, and mr.PEED promise they would find the missing key & remote for the avalon or they would get me a new one well they did cut me a key at no cost but still no remote. So I called SO.MD.TOYOTA,and asked for mr.PEED,and was told he was not in much to my surprise so I ask to speak with mr SHOEMAKER,and was told he no longer had anything to do with the cars his job was to just sell them not to have them serviced. So I ask to speak with a manager, they put someone on the phone who I do not think was the manager, cause he was really rude I ask about the remote, and he said they could'nt find the damn thing, and they would get me one at cost, and that they were not in business to give any thing away.I told him thanks, and yes I would like to buy one but it sure as hell won't be from SOUTHERN MARYLAND TOYOTA.

All of this reminds me of when I sold cars, and was told that if a customer bought a car in,and said there was something wrong with it then have the service dept.find something wrong even if its not as long as its out of warranty so that we can charge them for our time.

I can tell you that unfortunately holds true with a few local service places in St. Marys from experience.

toyota of somd

a family I know bought a car from them "accident free". when they took it to carmax to trade it in, Carmax wouldnt accept the vehicle because it had been in an accident.

Also my mom had to have an avalon from Toyota of somd. When she brought it home and I was washing and waxing it it had rough spots in the paint where tools had been used to pull major dents and also the back left door is off aligment. now why would a perfectly good used car be all screwed up?

TOYOTA OF SOMD I wouldnt buy from them

Now that is really BAD I'm not sure but I think you can have something done about all that...Have you seeked any help with that...I guess that what they mean when they say BUYER BEWARE of CAR DEALERS.

In doubt? Throttle out!
I know several people who have bought from the dealership with no problem. This is the first dis-satisfaction I've heard. Mr. Peed is a very nice guy (I'm friends with his son) and I'm probably going to get my next car from them.

Well its been

over 3 months, and I still have'nt gotten the second key or the automatic door, and trunk opener.I guess thats how you open up a big new dealership by ripping off your customers, and hoping to get new suckers to fleece.

I have said it once and I will say it again...

If you want a Toyota - go see John Link... other times I have posted about Waldorf Toyota when he was there... now he is @ SOMD Toyota. I could give a rats ass what dealership my buddy is at, but he will treat you right and not BS you. :smack:

:yay: clevalley directed me toward SOMD Toyota 6 weeks ago, and I got a new Corolla, I am 100% satisfied with my experience there (could have gotten maybe just a little better deal at Carmax in Laurel) but Im glad I purchased locally.
Ive been back twice, once to get molding and a pinstrip added and another with a title problem, (their mistake) that I was explaining to my saleman and Mr. Peed overheard and immediately took care of it and refered it to the title girl:hot: who straightned it out with MVA and sent me the corrected title.
Im sorry you (TJ0117) havent had a good experience, but so far I havent had a problem, and they must be doing something right, there was big article in the Enterprise yesterday about the new building and the number of cars they have sold, the weekend (Memorial Day weekend) whenI bought my car they sold something like 35-40 cars, I would bet they have out sold every other dealership in the Tri-County in the past 6 weeks, with a Toyota you can't go wrong IMO.

......
Thinking about a new truck this year. Maybe get a Toyota Tacoma from these guys. Been waiting for a good local dealer down here where I don't have to drive 50 mi to get it serviced.

well 1 bad person out of 5 more people who have had good experiences.
Are you stupid or just have trouble in the reading comprehension area? Where does it I had a good experience? A bad person. You don't even know me moron. Go back to school and learn to read.
