Try contacting Littleford's catering. You can reach Sandy at 410-610-1775. She offers a wide variety of menu selection, she can also give you advice on what to have. All of there food is homemade nothing instant. Give her a call, I am sure she can work with you. She did my wedding reception. It was buffet style, but they served the head table. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

if you would like i can help decorate FREE, as i am a designer anyway; so i have good aesthetics. i've got some great ideas. As far as catering goes i'd definitely go with buffet. Visit Wedding Planning - Wedding Dresses - Wedding Gifts - Wedding Website its a great start as far as information, gift registry, and planning. very useful. in fact i am in the process of planning my wedding as well. i don't know what you've done as of yet but Wedding Dresses, Bridesmaid Gowns and Accessories from David's Bridal is a great resource as well. CONGRATULATIONS!! your best bet is doing research there and look for local catering resources/flowers.

No my fiance' name does not start with a J. No I did not ask for a Wedding Singer(Friend of mine) she is the one who has told me to do this. Yes I laughed after Rude, because its funny the way people are to people for no reason. I am having my wedding and reception in the same place. I am having it on a Sunday (cheaper), as for invites, we are sending out about 250-300 invites (most family) but we also know quite a few people. Now that does not say that all 250-300 will attend. Non-religious caremony and in Calvert or St.Marys county, which ever I can find a place. I am not sure on the plates of food, I heard that Buffet was cheaper, but thats really why I'm asking for ideas because Im lost.

make sure you get people to RSVP. Do you have your invitations yet?

My lady is making all the centerpieces, party favors, and just about everything that can be home made herself. Then get a coordinator like kelb to put the finishing touches so you don't freak yourself out when it gets closer to the deadline.

:huggy:

I think you should use index

Change that title tag!

Middleton Hall rents their hall to sheriffs dept for half price. Dont know if you or anyone you know could take advantage of that.

I bought a lot of my things using the 50% off coupons Michaels has in the Sunday Washington Post. I borrowed my wedding dress from my sister in law. My coworkers decorated for me. I went with candle centerpieces instead of flowers cause I think its cheaper and not as stressful. I did buffet but as someone mentioned, try to get an exact head count. They will only put out as many plates as you rsvp for. If you are doing open bar, you may want to do an evening wedding to limit the amount of time the reception is. That can be a huge expense ecspecially if you are going to have 300 people. I kept my wedding on a tight budget and it was still beautiful. I didn't want to go in debt having a wedding.

If you are inviting 250-300 people, and you are on a budget, may I suggest PB & J, chips and a can of soda?

What is the price range of your budget? It's hard to make suggestions when you have that kind of a guest list and on a budget.

If I was getting married :)lmao:) and on a budget there would not be anywhere near 250-300 people coming, might be just me and the groom.

Hey my husband and I got married at Bowles Hall in St. Mary's. We had the ceremony and reception there, the cost was very reasonable and we were able to use there kitchen and bar. Also we got all of the favors from OrientalTrading.com, (under the wedding section). We also had Tracy Burch do the decorating, I think that was the most expensive thing. And my husbands uncle did the music for free. If you need anything, like for instance music, I could ask if he'd be willing, if not my husband wouldn't mind as long as you throw a couple beers his way! PM if you want more info...

I would also check Ebay. Although I didn't have much of a budget for my wedding I was able to get a lot of my center peices and everything for pretty cheap.

Why not just elope? Or do a destination wedding?
We were young when we married, so we just went to the JoP. We did it in Alexandria.

I don't get the spending thousands on a huge wedding. You really have over 200 family members that would have to be invited? Why?

Not everybody holds the same regard towards wedding vows that you do. When I toyed with the idea of going to the JoP, my fiance sat me down, grabbed my hand, looked me in the eye and said, "We get just one opportunity in our lifetime for our friends and family to drop what they are doing and acknowledge the love we have for each other"... I couldn't argue with that... We invited 400 family and friends to our wedding... 370 attended. It was worth every penny.

Of course not, but obviously you did what you could do to afford it.
We are renewing our vows this year, our 10 year anniversary, because we can afford it.

People have to realize that its more than just the wedding. Didn't mean it as snarky as it came out.

Gotcha... yeah, it came across as pretty snarky... Yes, I agree peeps tend to get all wrapped up in worrying about "presentation" and what others may think. I did budget and made every attempt to do the day the way we wanted at a price we could afford without any concern as to whether some attendees would find something "tacky" or "redundant" or...:blahblah:

We're asking people to bring their own plates and utensils to save money.

BYOB :yahoo:

I'm kidding.

We're doing that too. And we decided to save money on food, we're going to go to McDonald's and buy a ton of stuff from the dollar menu. Even if people eat 2 burgers and 2 fries, that's still only $4 per person. It's so cheap! :yahoo:
