We're doing that too. And we decided to save money on food, we're going to go to McDonald's and buy a ton of stuff from the dollar menu. Even if people eat 2 burgers and 2 fries, that's still only $4 per person. It's so cheap!

The first thing I though of were the people who got married at Taco Bell.
I just hate to see people think they NEED to spend so much money, when the don't need to. My first reaction to 250+ guests is, wow, that'll be a lot of gifts.

Exactly! Miss Manners said invite everyone you want to invite, THEN decide what you can afford to feed them.

I recommend Rita B's Catering if you are looking to save money. I think its about $9 a head. Their food is really good. Crab balls, chicken, everything.

GREAT IDEA!!! but no I wasn't doing that. I don't have to do that to get business ... I'm actually a nice person and am willing to help others with their search for their perfect day!
I haven't been on the board for like 2 months and I just happen to see what 3 "wedding" forums... I was just helping a few people with their questions. I've been to just about 50 weddings... so honestly I think I know a little bit about venders and such.
