Went to one in Williamsburg. Beautiful new suite. Sales pitch almost had us until we checked out Blue Green reviews on the internet......NFW after reading the reviews.

I hate stuff like that. When I was 18 I got pressured into buying a Kirby Vac for a free roll of Viva paper towels. Yeah, It was that bad (and I was that nice).

If they tried it now they'd be sorry as hell they ever knocked on my door. Thats what a few years in the world will do to you! :boxing:

IF I remember correctly..

State of MD, they can NOT require you to attend any presentations or sales pitches for a 'free week-end'.

I may be wrong, but if I'm not that means you can take the free week-end, and do whatever you want to do while you are there.

That's why you don't see any timeshares in MD. VA, on the other hand, has a bunch of them.

Used to be a 'cold feet' law where you can back out of any contract within 72 hrs, just have to notify them by certified mail. Go, sign your life away and then back out..enjoy your weekend!!

That's called right of rescission. It's deals with contracts and real estate transactions. Timeshare purchases are real estate transactions.

if u are 100% u can say no, i think they are worth it.

My parents have 2 timeshares and my hubby and i just bought one and we love it, so weve been to quite a few pitches. Our last getaway we used our timeshare and we got something like $75 in cash to hear them update us. I thought it was worth it :yay:

We've been to quite a few of these sales pitches and have gotten everything from a $500 VISA gift card to a 5 day accomadations package at the Lucaya Beach Resort near Freeport. We own two timeshares and are happy with them but timeshare are not for everyone. Folks need to do their research before going down this road. If you don't, you'll likely end up unhappy.

Yes, we have opted to pass it by...too many people have complained about this company's tactics. Generally, if it seems too good to be true, it probably isn't!

You must have never been to Ocean City. :p

I've been to OC plenty of times. I know there are timeshares there but their affiliated with "networks" that are not based in MD. I've never been invited to go to OC for a timeshare sales pitch. It's normally FL or VA.

I'd love to go to one of those but they always get to the "Are you married?" question and I'm screwed.
