I think they should have set themselves on fire, and then reported on that....I'd watch that.Real question, should the media have ignored this and reported nothing?
If so, at what point should they report on it?

DJIA closed today above 26,700. Gained 1/3 of the coronavirus (?) losses back. Let's see if we can get back at least an additional third (at minimum) over the upcoming days.Yup, as of this post, DJIA is back up over 26,000 (back to where it was last June 19th or so). Nice recovery today. My hunch is that the recovery will continue.
I say no.... It is definitely newsworthy. Ebola was less of a plague than this, as was SARS and Zika - but they were newsworthy too. I, personally, never suggested that this get swept under the rug or ignored.Real question, should the media have ignored this and reported nothing?
But like everything else, the media failed in their objectivity in favor of promoting sensationalist melodramatic horseshit.

They are now reconsidering based on the fact that actual count of who is infected is way off.not from what I have read ...... Covid-19 is more lethal than the Flu
Oh, my. Yeah, that could cause a few of them to be alarmed!Just got a note from my brother. The assisted living facility my dad is in closed the dining room because many of the residents came down with a 24 hours stomach bug.
I can only imagine the thoughts these folks are having....
PBS NewsHour is pretty dry....I wish there was at least 1 news outlet - just 1 - where it was a person sitting at a desk reading facts in a pleasing voice with a pleasing accent with zero inflection. There are no flashy graphics. There are no sub-bass sound-effects. The news studio is tan or brown or olive-drab... and at the first editorial or emotional comment, that reporter is dragged out by their hair (assuming they have hair - by the collar if bald) beaten mercilessly, and replaced with a similar sounding, identically dressed person - who should now know better, after having seen their predecessor punished.
And you are incredibly moist. But don't let that stop you, you deserve to plummet off of your stool.PBS NewsHour is pretty dry....

The actual count of who is infected with the Flu is ALWAYS off. Do you seek medical attention every time you are sick, or do you buy some dayquil and go on your way? What about all those days you just had a mildly sore throat and felt mostly better a day or two later and chalked it up to pollen or other allergies? Lot of times those are flu and cold viruses that your body was able to fight effectively because you had already been exposed to something similar. But you didn't report it, and it certainly wasn't tested/officially tracked. They are now reconsidering based on the fact that actual count of who is infected is way off.
No they aren't. Thus the reason they are saying the count of those infected is way off. No sure why you want to argue the point. But in the case of sick people in coronavirus hot spots, they are definitely being more vigilant about testing/reporting.
You are telling me that in places where there are known outbreaks that people are avoiding going to the doctor? No they aren't. Thus the reason they are saying the count of those infected is way off. No sure why you want to argue the point.
