There was a time I didn't care for the name Rose. It was my grandmother's name (Sybil Rose). It seems to be a very old name, because it's my one of my historical faire character names. Mary Rose Tudor.

I like Shelby and have since the movie Steel Magnolia's, I loved that movie. Then again, my daughter is Celie from The Color purple, son is Cameron from Ferris Bueller, and I saw Emily's first and middle names on movie credits.
I'm lucky I didn't have a son in the early 80's or it would have been Ponyboy, or Sodapop! JK
