 well... after re-reading I think it could be read both ways  I thought she was speaking in third person here and there... she was upset noone had assisted her and how would folks feel if they were the one lying there in a seizure and shaking with a phone and then she looked around for said person that helped and wanted to thank the person for helping her the person was gone

Kizzy... are you ok? I feel relieved it wasn't you but still feel for the person that noone assisted... you said only one person assisted you  Am I the only one reading this the wrong way? I read the other posts and I though people were just being funny ... :ohwell: Which is it Kizzy - was it two people that helped the lady or was it you that was having problems and only one person assisting as stated  :frown: Sorry for any confusion I caused... :frown:

Feel free to re-read the additional posts by Kizzy; especially where she starts talking about having problems with cell reception and getting the dispatcher to understand her location.

In a sincere attempt to explain myself... and loads of nasty red blocks... here's how I honestly read it

I would like to thank those SOB's that walked off and decided NOT to even so much as ask me if I needed assistance this morning. [SHE WAS THE ONE SUFFERING]
You know, I was just as freaked out as the next person. [SHE WAS SUFFERING] It is not everyday you are standing outside, turn to say good morning to somebody and watch them collapse in what appeared to be a seizure, a mere 2 feet away from you [SHE’S MAD AT FOLKS FOR NOT STOPPING TO HELP HER]. Even if it was to talk to 911, it would have been appreciated, but no, people just looked at me juggling a phone [SHE IS HAVING SEIZURE AND CAN’T HOLD PHONE] and a person [ME IN THIRD PERSON] collapsed on the ground, never even stopping, and it was only after a few minutes, one person, just one person, stopped [TO HELP ME BECAUSE IN REALITY IF IT WAS SOMEONE ELSE IT WOULD BE TWO PEOPLE --KIZZY AND SAMARITAN- THEREFORE COMFIRMING IT WAS POOR KIZZY :frown:]
To that one person [AGAIN ONLY ONE PERSON STOPPED TO HELP PERSON WITH SEIZURE] that stopped and assisted me this morning, [AHA... IT WAS KIZZY THAT NEEDED ASSISTANCE]I would like to say thank you, [AGAIN CONFRMATION THAT KIZZY WAS IN NEED OF HELP] although the chances of you reading it here are slim. But nontheless, once the ambulance got there and they lifted her up to transport her, [MAYBE KIZZY IS WOOZY AND IS TALKING IN THIRD PERSON AGAIN] I looked around and didn’t see you to say those words. [AS I WAS LOOKING AROUND FROM AN AMBULANCE AND HAD GOTTEN DISTRACTED] But no good deed goes unrewarded.
For those others that walked away [FROM ME] with total disregard what goes around comes around, and surely hope there never comes a day when you [TOO] might need assistance. [SHE’S MAD AGAIN STATING NO ONE HELPED HER]:

:frown: obviously I was the only one that read it exactly like the way I've explained... I'm sorry Kizzy, I honestly wasn't trying to be funny - this was just how I read it... :frown: If I was at home, I'd go back to bed but I'm not so I'll run out for a smoke break... :frown:

Kizzy, it was a good thing you helped out and I hope she gets better.

My only question is why would you expect anything else out of people? I'm a pragmatist- which means I'm cynical toward the intentions of others- I don't understand why you would think people would do what they ought to. Having a humanitarian viewpoint is something I've never understood.

You are doing it again... "especially where she starts talking about having problems with cell reception and getting the dispatcher to understand her location" [BAD RECEPTION BECAUSE HER HANDS WERE SHAKEN AS STATED PREVIOUSLY]

:cussing: this obviously is just a little too confusing for me this morning... :bawl: I'm sorry Kizzy whether it was you that was ill, a friend and no one but two people assistsed said person suffering, or for have distracted your thread cussing out folks and making a PSA that folks need to be more caring to one another or for all of the above... :bawl:

As you were... I think I need a break from the forums... :frown: Vrai for my sanity and others... please set me in time out... :frown:

Last time someone requested a timeout and I gave it to them, I caught all kinds of holy hell.

Forget it. Give yourself a timeout.

Whatever happened, I hope she'll be okay. This is a friend of yours? If so, please keep us updated.

I hope she'll be OK, too. I also hope you're OK - you did a great thing stopping to help her. And you're right - what goes around, comes around.

Hope your day (and hers) gets better... :huggy:

I just look at thing this way, how would I want to be treated? Would I want somebody to step over me if I was collapsed on the ground? NO

What if it was my child, my mother, my father, somebody I care about? Again the answer is NO.

Same thing when the ambulance goes down the road and people will not get the hell out of the way, pull to the shoulder of the road, because they are all about themselves and getting where they want to go. <- huge pet peeve of mine

I have found over the course of the past year - year and a half that I have run into a lot of people that have your viewpoint and I think it is a rather sad and pathetic way to look at others and their motives. No, I’m not Ms. Suzy Fricken Sunshine, but sometimes people just do things for others without expecting gratitude, rewards, and without ulterior motives. I find it sorely offensive when you do something for someone and they think you do have ulterior motives, nothing like being bludgeon for noticing that somebody might need a favor and you stepping up to offer and help. It is the way I am, and I guess without people like me and others, since I know I’m not alone, you’ll collapse tomorrow and yes, somebody will have the heart to stop and those that are cynical will step over you.

I just have a question Chain, and I’m not attacking you or your opinion, I’m just trying to understand it. Did somebody kick you in the face to make you so cynical? I try to understand, really I do, that I don't care attitude, always watching your back wondering what people's intensions are.

What would you do if you had to give a stranger CPR, and they had a HUGE cold sore on their lip?

Maybe I could help. What people's feelings and thoughts toward something like this, may differ from their actions. Seeing someone hurt and in need of help, freaks some folks out to the point where they CAN'T do anything.

The other part of that is peoples intentions vs. their intentionality. Two completely different words. A wish, vs an action. One requires commitment.
