My hair had wings.

I'd hold the hairdryer to my bangs and both sides and spray them with hairspray while drying. I also used to cuff my jeans.

I kept "trimming" and "trimming" my "bi-level" haircut one year in middle school or high school (can't remember) to the point that it was only about an inch tall on top (stood straight up) and long in the back - My very first (and ONLY) accidental mullet!
