What kind of god would send a prophet like that?

The Qur’an tells us that when Muhammad saw Zainab
half naked, he fell in love with her, and wanted her as his
wife. However, he hesitated because of what people would
say about him, snatching the wife of his adopted son. But
Muhammad’s god came to reprimand him for his hesitaition. Strangely, it was Allah who wanted the woman to leave
her husband, and to violate all moral laws, so Muhammad
could have her.

This sounds like some kind of David and Basheeba pervision.

just bomb them and get it over with marie.

god doesn't need who just spread the hate via text.

edit:

and just for fun, A List Of Biblical Contradictions

they're probably just as stupid and baseless as yours, but hey it was the first link I found and I figured I'd fight baseless hate with the same.

This crud is not a representation of the Holy Quran but just more religious bigotry by Christians.
You really should try staying on the message of the thread. If you disagree with the posts, try and provide useful, thoughtful counterpoints. All you did with this post was attack the messenger, with no comment on the message.

I thought you were against that.

No it was a common theme looking up info on the first, lead to the second.
I had a friend, at least I think he still is :) PM me and tell me that he disaproved.

There is a real threat though, and people really need to understand the implications. This isnt just a conflicting opinion on who God is. One country did that and today they are under muslim rule. If you go out and really look around with an open mind, you will see that sticking ones head in the sand isnt such a good idea. The best idea is to win these folks to the one true God that can save them from there sins and provide everlasting life.

I also had a coworker that confided in me that he was a muslim recruiter and was going to share how similar are to religions are. When questioned about killing the infidels he denied its in the quran. Its right there you can read it for yourself.

The best thing we can do is send Bibles into these countries!

Yeah that'll work! Come on Marie. The world does not need your brand of conversion.

Sure, their are psychotic Muslims but there are psychotic Christians too!

Live and let live.

Muslims live their religion. Not entirely a bad thing.

P.S. No where in your Bible, does it say "Only Christians will be saved."

The best thing we can do is poke sticks into hives of killer bees.

The best thing we can do is throw bloody carcasses into circling sharks.

The best thing we can do is do cartwheels across busy intersections.

The best thing we can do is squirt mace right into our eyeballs.

The best thing we can do is stick our heads into the mouths of aligators.

They all make more sense than sending bibles into Middle East countries... where the delivery people would no doubt promptly end up on the intarweb getting their ####ing heads hacked off with rusty garden tools.

You realize we don't know, right? Maybe something happens after death that allows Jesus to be known and a choice made at that point. Maybe George Carlin was right and we get a two minute warning, and Jesus makes himself known then. Maybe there lives are a form of punishment for deciding not to believe in a previous life. Maybe their souls get put into a new body at birth - a chance to find out all on their own. There are more "maybe"s than answers.

What we can do, who have heard his word and been given the tools to make informed decisions, is decide. And, help those that haven't decided decide.

So why does your God make things so vague and complicated? Why is it a litany of "maybe, maybe, maybe"? Why not a striaghtforward approach, with solid corrboration and at least enough evidence to make a thoughtful decision? Certainly this can't be outside of God's ability to accomplish, can it? A fair amount of convergant evidence that Jesus lived, there were apostles, a few bona fide documents still extant... instead... Nothing.

Well, not quite nothing. We do have lots of documents from that era. We have the Dead Sea Scrolls. So we know it's possible that God could allow such things to come to us down throught the ages.

It's just that -- when concerned with his Most Supreme Desire -- our salvation!-- there's nothing but chirping crickets.

Why is that, I wonder...............

I think there is a great deal of evidence Jesus lived (then died, then lived again for that matter). Your dispute is clearly with the documents that exist, not whether they exist.

My best guess is that He's given us all we need to know, not all we want to know.

Have you ever read the "Works of Josephus" a Roman historian who would have risked is very life to accurately record history validating the Bible.

Archaeology and History Attest to the Reliability of the Bible
By Richard M. Fales, Ph.D.
With the great body of manuscript evidence, it can be proved, beyond a doubt, that the New Testament says exactly the same things today as it originally did nearly 2,000 years ago. Corroborating Writings. Critics also charge that there are no ancient writings about Jesus outside the New Testament. This is another ridiculous claim. Writings confirming His birth, ministry, death, and resurrection include Flavius Josephus (A.D. 93), the Babylonian Talmud (A.D. 70–200), Pliny the Younger’s letter to the Emperor Trajan (approx. A.D. 100), the Annals of Tacitus (A.D. 115–117), Mara Bar Serapion (sometime after A.D. 73), and Suetonius’ Life of Claudius and Life of Nero (A.D. 120).
Attached is the whole article that will answer some other questions as well.
