I'd forgotten about this song, "Little Martha," by the Allman Brothers Band off "Eat a Peach (1972)." The first album of theirs I bought after leaving home.

Toni Lindgren uploaded this cover today. She and Josh do a good job with it.

Saw the Outlaws in San Diego, back in the early '70s, before they demolished the old Balboa stadium that had been built in, well, here, I'll let wikipedia tell the tale:
The original stadium was built in 1914 as part of the 1915 Panama–California Exposition with a capacity of 15,000. The stadium expanded in the 1960s to a capacity of 34,000. Due to seismic safety concerns, it was demolished in the 1970s and a smaller venue with a 3,000-seat capacity was built, opening in 1978. Most of the original stadium's distinguishing architectural features were removed.

If you look at a picture from before, and one from modern times, the older one looks like what you'd expect from a big name venue. The new one looks like a typical high school or small college stadium, which it is, since San Diego High School is the primary user of the stadium.

Anyway, the Outlaws, the Doobie Brothers, and the reformed Allman Brothers. The concert is pretty hazy in my memory, so I figure I had a good time.

Norma Cecilia Tanega (January 30, 1939 – December 29, 2019)[2] was an American folk and pop singer-songwriter, painter, and experimental musician. In the 1960s, she had a hit with the single "Walkin' My Cat Named Dog" and wrote songs for Dusty Springfield and other prominent musicians. In later decades, Tanega worked mostly as a percussionist, playing various styles of music in the bands Baboonz, hybridVigor, and Ceramic Ensemble. She also wrote "You're Dead", which was used as the theme song of the film What We Do in the Shadows and the TV series of the same name.

Here are both those songs:

I borrowed a bunch of CDs from my daughter, and discovered "The Dance." I gave her back the CDs, but I might have forgotten to return "The Dance" to her for a few years. Love the album. One of, if not my favorite track is "Go Your Own Way."
