I go through phases wrt the music genres I listen to, and trust me: there are a bunch. Rythmn and Blues; old-school blues; blue-eyed blues; rock and roll; rock; hard rock; metal; death metal; pop; J-pop and K-pop....it's almost easier to list what I refuse to listen to, because I'll even listen to music from other countries in languages I don't even understand. Okay, not often, but on occasion.

I got turned on to reaggae some years ago...actually, more than a couple of decades ago.

Inner Circle, with their cover of the Joe South tune, "Games People Play." Other people have covered it, such as the late Don Williams, and I can't say I've heard a bad version yet.

Maxi Priest with his cover of what I believe is a Cat Stevens song, "Wild World."

New Orleans inspired jazz.

Aurora Nealand and the Royal Roses, "Ferryman."

Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns, "Miss Otis Regrets (she's unable to lunch today)."

Just finished this one. I love it so much.

Khatia Buniatishvili playing Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue."

Getting ready to listen to this:

Khatia Buniatishvili playing Tchaikovsky - "Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23"

This album gets me every time; especially the "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding." A bunch of us in my squadron played this at our shipmates' funeral as it was at least one of their favorites. Maybe both. They were listed as KIA, along with the 2 pilots (both good guys) when their helicopter was shot down. A helicopter I helped maintain and flew in, periodically. In fact, I was originally slated to fly, but bumped in favor of a couple of combat camera guys.

Anyway, RIP, shipmates. Fair winds and following seas.

Elton John, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" (1973) complete album playlist.
