One of the most creative bands I've seen in a long time. Jazz Lady, you'll really like these guys.
Thanks - pretty cool group. But...
The second piece is nice. The first one...not so much...
OMG, I actually agree with Larry.

See, now that's weird (or maybe not)... that one happens to be one of my favorites.
If you get on youtube and listen some of their other stuff you'll start hearing so many different styles and sounds. I hear so much funk, New Orleans-style sounds, jazz, pop, and there's even some rock in there for you Larry. There's Steely Dan, Chicago, ELP, Weather Report, Return to Forever, man I could go on and on how many different styles they capture. And you have to notice all the vintage instruments (particularly keyboards) they use. Their sound takes you back to the '70s while keeping the feel current.
And they have a really cool name.
For me, the underlying melody annoyed me as being too "sing-songy" - kind of like how "Pop Goes The Weasel" grates on my nerves. I liked the rest of it but just couldn't get past that.
Well put.
Okay, I'll give some of the other stuff a listen. I definitely heard a lot of different styles and love the range of instruments they incorporate in their music.
Horns make everything better. Except singy-songy stuff.
There is that.

Why is most everyone in the audience wearing head phones?
I think that's pretty cool. The only reasons I can come up with is 1) they are so close to certain parts of the band that those instruments would drown out everyone else and 2) to get the entire stereo feel of the recording. This was recorded as a DVD and album.
