An alternative band called the Sundays, with a cover of The Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses." I'd never heard of them before tonight. I think they could have gone down an octave on the guitar, and it would have complemented her voice better, but other than that, not a bad version of the song.

I was haze gray and underway when this concert went down. I really wanted to go, too!

Grand Funk Railroad, 01 June 1974, Los Angeles (probably the Forum in Inglewood). They played at the Sports Arena in San Diego the next night. We were going to try for the two-fer...see them in both cities 2 nights running. Unfortunately, Uncle Sam's Canoe Club (Navy) had other plans for us.

I had 'Caught in the Act' and played that thing until the scratches overwhelmed the audio. I was too young to understand the whole mess with Farner but they were the coolest band in those days. I was blown away about Farner becoming a Christian.
