What time of Year is it?

Time to guess what time of year it is.

End of summer? Yes, but not what I'm looking for.
Fall? Yeah, but more than that.

How about.... time for rodentia to find new homes for the winter. Like in my gas fill cover on the GoldWing.

I've been laid up for about 6 weeks and haven't taken the bike out. Took it out for a nice long ride today, stopped to get fuel, opened the fuel door, and there was this HUGE mouse nest. My jaw dropped. APS was getting fuel then too, so I called him over and we both laughed.

Sorry no, pics. I had to clear most of the nest out to fuel up.

Why were you laid up?

Why were you laid up?

Caught this really bad cough that settled into my bronchi. If I wasn't lying on my right side, I was coughing so hard I was blacking out. Didn't think it would be a good thing to get a coughing fit while riding. Sitting at work was tough enough. Yesterday was the first day I felt better in weeks.

WOW! I think I better get the mouse traps set in the garage. They love chewing wire.

Took a short ride over the bridge. I felt like it was my first ride ever, for some reason. I'm lucky I didn't fall over or something. Just was totally un-coordinated today.

:huggy: Glad that you are safe and sound.

Travelled across my first bridges yesterday! Benedict, then Solomons.

Is it too early to start talking about a fall trip to Skyline Drive? I need a heavier riding jacket and a throttle lock first.

Don't you count the one between Sandgates and Seabreeze?

:lmao:

Wait.... a Throttle Lock?? For the Skyline?? :twitch:

:lmao: If you're thinking of it, don't wait too much longer. I went 1st week Nov one year. 55* at the base, 31 on the Skyline under sunny skies at 10am. Was NOT prepared for that. Had to come down off the mountain at Rt 33.

Probably for the way over and back.

It does get chilly, not to mention that traffic is much lighter before the leaves start to turn.

Yeah, I was just joking about the throttle lock. I just had visions of it being stuck "on" going around the turns.... :lmao:

Also have to watch for leaves falling much earlier than here. Leaves on that road, especially wet, are incredibly hazardous.

I need a throttle lock.

Try a throttle boss.
It wraps around the end of your throttle, very easy on/off.
You rest the heel of your hand on it so you can relax your grip on the throttle.

... and you can get one at Motovations :yay:

I find the concept of locking the throttle in place is a little scary
