As some of you may know, I recently moved. I am now in a different school district.

Since the current school year is almost over, I am keeping him where he is at. I was considering moving him to his proper school for the begining of next school year but he would be going to a school that is closed and they are set up in portables.

Would you:

A) Leave him where he is at until the school renovation project is complete

or

B) Move him for the upcoming school year to the portable school

Poll to follow:

FYI (Him is my son) for all of the smart asses in the room....

Kids are resilient and change isn't going to kill him. He has to learn to roll with things. I'm a firm believer in neighborhood schools. I think if the school is decent and he is learning, it's much better for his social development to be able to have local friends.

The staff is excellent and I have not heard anything negative about the temporary set-up. :yay:

The portable school trailers do not impede the learning process at all. Banneker had continued academic success when it was going through a similar construction event.

Of course, JPC will be on here soon telling horror stories so I suggest using the ignore function now to save that bother.

Whoops, I hit the wrong button on my vote. Put him in the school that the rest of the neighborhood kids attend.

C was in a portable for 5th grade and I loved it (and she liked it too:lol:) The portables are nice, there are less interuptions from classes going up and down the halls, the kids get outside more because they have to go to a main building for things such as lunch or PE and the heat and ac almost always work correctly:lol:
