What's for dinner?

It will be BLT's tonight. I have REAL tomatoes! Shrimp salad and Amish macaroni salad on the side.
The kind that actually have flavor, and give you an acid sting?

I'm so envious.... :ohwell:
I've been getting local REAL tomatoes at the auction for the last 3 or 4 weeks and selling them at the hardware store. They have tasted great - I've probably had tomato sandwiches 8 out of the last 14 days. I had a guy come into the store last week who said his wife had sent him in to get tomatoes and he told her she was crazy for sending him to a hardware store for tomatoes. The wife had been in earlier in the week and bought some and realized how good they were so needed more. We have sold more than 100 pounds of tomatoes the last couple of weeks - one customer has been buying a whole 10# box at time. And we've sold a lot of local strawberries as well.

Now I think it's time for another tomato sandwich. I got some fresh local peas this week as well so trying to decide if they go with tomato sandwiches.

Might have to take a ride down. I've gotten them from the Farmer's Market here at BAE, and they've been flavorless like store bought.

Steak, fresh peas, salad, and a Merlot. Delish!

Since I never mastered the art of cooking on a grill, I recently got a George Forman appliance for the kitchen. Had a steak a couple nights ago and tonight I cooked an onion Bubba burger. Also butter beans and wilted spinach. Ice water and Apothic Red. Burp!
The steak nor burger were as good as my husband's- the grill master extraordinaire- but they were better than most meals I could get at a restaurant- and maybe a bit cheaper.

Well, since I just heard today is National Pizza Party Day, and the grandkids are here, I'll be calling St James.

Though I've been informed by the 5 yr old that nothing is a party without a bouncy house.
