Stirfry become one of my weekly regulars.
BF and I went out to dinner on our Veterans Day coupons from Texas Roadhouse. We had a beer apiece and the total bill was $15.00. He asked our server what the value of our meals was in order to tip appropriately. That would have made the total of our bill $45.00 if we hadn't had the vouchers. He proceeded to dig $45.00 out of his wallet, plus a $15.00 tip, and passed the entire amount to our server. I wondered why the server sought us out as we were leaving and thanked him profusely. BF didn't figure it out until we were halfway home. I'm screening for nursing homes. Any suggestions?
What she should have done is asked you if you meant to tip that much. But I always think about it like, you know what? She's probably going to school or supporting a child on her tips and that $45 means a lot to her. Maybe on her way home she was able to stop and get her bebe a toy or a treat that she normally wouldn't have been able to afford. Maybe she was wondering where the electric bill was coming from, and you were an answered prayer.
It was a he, a kid really, and very attentive, probably a little too much so. My BF slapped himself in the head once, called himself an idiot, and finally tried to blame it on me and the low-cut blouse I was wearing. He made that kid's night and when I told him that, it seemed to make his night as well. So the mistake ended up being pretty cool. I've been with guys that would have ranted about this off and on for days; not this guy. I'm a lucky girl.

Got 4 pre-made chuck burgers from Bradfords, couldnt put them on the gill cause of the rain, pan fried them in my cast iron. They were delicious! I cannot make a decent hamburger at home. I like to use ground chuck, but I think its ground to fine to make a decent burger. One of these days, when they go on sale, I'm getting a chuck roast and ask the butcher to grind it for burgers.
It's raining like crazy here so I have the AC cranked and am cuddled up in a hoodie, having a fake snow day. Tonight will be some comfort food thing with chicken.

Growing up in Charles County, in a small neighborhood surrounded by farms, Bob white's were heard and seen almost daily. I have lived in St. Mary's in a heavily wooded area for over 30 years and have never heard one here. Visiting my sister in NC last month I heard them again every evening. I guess they all moved south to live in golf course communities.
