Mr Redmon has the money to build himself. Is it going to be bigger then the Leonardtown store? Guess alot of the rental stuff will be avaliable here too.

Mr Rudman wanted to buy it but that wasn't an option to him from the land owner/builder. It will be very close to the size of the Leonardtown Store and we plan on having the rental as well.

True Value in Charlotte Hall was the first jobs both my boys had when they were teenagers, that was over 12 years ago.
Great job for a guy, you learn all about the various things that can be used around the house for variuos projects, Im in there about once a week. When the one son has a project to do and he is always doing something when we go in the store he knows right where to go, nothing has changed in that store since it opened.:yay:

The original plan was to be open by spring of 08. They are supposed to be breaking ground this week. We are looking at march/april 09 opening.

Is the old True Value building going to sit empty or are there plans for it as well?

I heard last year when the plans were annoucned for the new store they had several people interested in the building, but it has limited parking.
A Auto Zone store or Advanced Auto would be nice.

Anyone know what is going to be built beside the CH FoodLion? I noticed they have it all staked out and there is heavy equipment sitting there now.

Got any clues?

I hope it's a Chick-Fli-A

Speaking of new erections: anyone know what they're building in the Lusby Giant parking lot?

Thanks for all the insight.
I love CH TruValue!!! I don't mind paying a few more dollards for something
when I am saving myself the gas and the headache of going to the ghettorf, I mean Waldorf or California...

Not to mention that the quality of supplies is often better there than the big box stores. Back after Isabel, I bought a bunch of 1" rope to use to stand up a tree stump. Bought 50' from Lowes and 50' from TruValue. HUGE difference in quality. TV rope won hands down. And just try to find electric motor brushes at Home Depot/Lowes. The employees never fail to be helpfull when I go in TV. Nice to support a local business too.

If any big stores/restaurants come in, there goes Charlotte Hall... :ohwell: It will slowly turn into Hollywood/California or even worse - a mini-Waldorf.

I know traffic is kinda bad at times, but just imagine 2x the mess. :coffee:

But the bright side of it I wont be using gas to drive 15 miles or more to go either north, south, east or west to get things, I could even ride a bicycle there, especially when gas gets to $6.00 a gallon.:faint:
Heck maybe they will want to build a bypass through my neigborhood, that will give me a good reason to retire, leave and move to Myrtle Beach.:yahoo:

All the ideas sound great... but, I really think we do need some different restaurants in the area. What we have is Blah to say the least. St. Marys Landing is only worried about pull tab machines. The food has gone down hill and the help is not good at all. Berts is fine for what it is... Ricky's (old copseys seafood) well, it is ok but over priced on somethings but, in time will be a fine place. Captain Leonards is about the best in the area. We really do need a good chain restaurant like Old country buffet, Longhorns, Outback, lonestar, olive garden or a Roadhouse would be wonderful. As said in a classic movie " you build it and they will come" and we will. Just a thought....

There're both worthless unless you're looking for wax or an oil filter. The only real parts store left in the area is Seymour.

TV is great, better than most....But my money is at Mechanicsvile Building supply. A great old-fashoined hardware store.
