your significant other ever gave you for Christmas?

I once received a case of oil and a drip pan from my SO. He was a mechanic and thought I needed to be taught how to change my own damn oil :ohwell:

My ex bought me a saphire necklace with 2 diamonds..... he spent way too much on something I would never wear. It was the thought behind it that mattered but I'm not a flashy lady and I don't like diamonds.

I'm not much of a material girl so it doesn't take much to make me happy. I don't recall ever getting a bad Christmas gift.

I'm sidestepping that problem by not having a significant other.

When I was married though he sometimes bought me things he liked instead of what I liked. Just movies and music etc. Nothing really terrible.

well my hubby isnt much into giving gifts. *sniffle something i came to terms with a long time ago...last xmas we were at his parents and his daughter (my step) was with us and as everyone else was opening the presents he finished changing her diaper, rolled it up, handed it too me smiling and said "here, merry christmas baby". he was joking...but it did sort of hit a nerve. yup, i would have to say getting his daughters poopy diaper was def the worst non present yet:smack:

My man went out one year on Christmas Eve to do my shopping at Jack's (a kmart type store in the midwest). I got burner covers, three cans of peanuts, a paper towel holder and some other crap.

haha. no, he's really great actually... just the ex wife thing always makes drama for anyone. i kinda shot myself in the foot with that one when we were courting "oh im not a material girl, i dont really like presents- I prefer to do things" LOL Girls beware....dont hook ur man with a line of that BS...he wont be that impressed and u could end up never getting things (which we all of course secretly desire)

Does "was" mean he is no longer a mechanic or no longer an SO? I hope for your sake it's the latter. Hate to think what he'd get you if he were, let's say, a garbage man or something....proctologist?

My ex bought me a saphire necklace with 2 diamonds..... he spent way too much on something I would never wear. It was the thought behind it that mattered but I'm not a flashy lady and I don't like diamonds.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that way. (Look dear, it's not just me)

As for worst Christmas gifts...he pretty much only buys clothes or something I specifically asked for, so I can't complain.
