What's the worst gift

Did she want a yellow diamond? If so, you did the right thing. If not, no wonder she gave it back to you with no qualms.

She saw it at Apple Basket one day. She fell in love with it but thought it too extravagant. I went back and bought it later. The engagement ring I had gotten her when we got engaged was very pretty, and her choice, but I always felt I could have done better. That's why I surprised her with this one. I didn't know it at the time, but the Christmas I gave it to her, she was already making plans to bolt. I took it back under a "false pretense" condition. She did not deserve to keep it.

Oh, and I took back the engagement ring too..... No argument from her, she knew I was right.

So, anyone looking for a nice ring or two for Christmas this year ?? NO, not for me to give to you, for you to BUY from me!!!

Ok, I thought of one. D's mom gave me orange nail polish once. It's kind of a running joke in the family. She used to get everyone orange presents because she though it was D's favorite color. Each of the kids has an orange piece of clothing, we've got an orange throw blanket, an orange body pillow, and various other things. We play the "guess what will be orange this time" game. I made D tell her that he changed his mind and orange is not his favorite anymore. I didn't want her to get her feelings hurt.
