There was a UPS store in Dunkirk over by the Giant. I can't remember if it's still there.

Who the hell faxes things anymore? Why can't it be scanned in a PDF file and emailed?
I had a financial place tell my husband (like 2 years ago) they needed to fax him a document to sign and he needed to fax it back. He asked them to scan and email it and he would scan and email it back. They said they did not have access to email. He then proceeded to talk in a sarcastic manner that the year was 2011 not 1986 and we have this wonderful invention called the 'interweb' and 'electronic mail'.
I do not think his sarcasm was appreciated. I was dying laughing though.

To OP... we went to Office Max or Staples, I do not remember which one.

Financial and medical info is sent via fax because it's more secure than e-mail. There's no document floating around forever on the the interweb waiting for hackers to download

The UPS Store is still there in Dunkirk and they will do it. Also Office Depot in Prince Frederick will do it.

A person comes on the board to ask a simple question and you jump up on your high and mighty horse and began to berate them and others. What a self centered person you are. Pls if you can not help some one with a problem, SHUT THE HELL UP.
Now you go and have yourself a good day and maybe Santa Clause will not notice how much you mad an ass of yourself

Thanks Guys,

Yes, I was dealing with a tenant applicant (co-signer) who had a fax machine but no scanner.

Yes, medical and certain gov entities still use fax because when you transmit across a fax it's a true dedicated line. Unlike in email your message is broken up into a million pieces and re-assembled at the point.

Fax capability is (for me anyway) rarely used, but when I bought a printer, I bought one with fax capability (a so-called "All-In-One"). That function has paid for itself in terms of convenience. The fax-capable machines also scan, and that is useful, too. So for a few dollars more up front, there are long-term benefits. I've saved myself hours of editing work when resurrecting a paper copy of something to generate a new document, taken old photo prints and turned them into electronic format which can be saved and edited, etc. My only regret is that I didn't get a machine capable of handling legal-sized paper/documents.

Yikes! Did not think I was berating anyone. Merely a general rant that not everyone (including the OP I assumed since they were asking) has convenient access yo a fax machine.
This is the first time I think I've been personally yelled at by some random stranger on the internet. My feelings are hurt:( <----- insert sarcasm here. NOW I'm being a mean person! :D

I don't use a fax enough to warrant to purchase of one. It would simply take up so much space. Also I use skype through the whole house, which is incompatible with fax.....
