Where did they all go?

Bronco Club

Nope, not a bar! It was a teen dance hall / clubhouse (now torn down) across the parking lot from the clubhouse (someone's house there now!).
Live bands there in the summer on saturday nights. Lotsa fun - it had a snack bar too! 60s/70s
:larry:

I remember the Bronco Club and the Clubhouse. The parents went to drink in peace at the bar and the kiddies went to dance and play at the Bronco.
Remember the other dance clubhouse down on the beach where the condos are today? Unbelievable place where a band would play outside facing towards the bay and they had snacks and beer. Lots of fun.
How about The Harbor Lights, Castaways, Dockside, Fisherman's Inn or Pier One in Solomons?
Evan's Seafood, Swan's or the hotel and dining room down towards Piney Point.
There just aren't that many good ole places left, they've all turned into the same look alike chain fake saloons.
Too bad - it was a tradition of fun.

Carrico's is now the Three Mules welding shop.

The Senate Inn was on Old Marlboro Pike.

Sorry it took so long to answer but I forgot I posted here.

Those were the days.

If you have nothing to do go down to the 7th. District one day and drop in at the bar just before you come to the end of 242.

There was once a nightclub there called Potomac Gardens. Its like a time capsule. In fact I would bet some of the liquor on the back bar has sat there since 1942.

You have to go back to the old dance hall to see it though.

Potomac Gardens is still open...occasionally:lmao: There is a steady crew of regulars in there every evening and on Sundays. My wife's "aunt and uncle" had there wedding reception there 50+ years ago.

Smitty's in Bryans Road. Anyone know if it is still there? My mom used to go there in the early 80's. Also, Mutt's in Indian Head. My cousin used to own it but he past away awhile ago. Wonder if it stayed open. I think he had a co-owner.

Also, Capt Seaweeds

Boy, I remember the first time I went in Seaweeds. No sooner sat down, ordered a beer and shooter, when the guy to my right swung a bottle on top of the guy sitting next to him!
A fight a night!
I never could understand why that place always had problems.

You guys are young if Capt. Seaweeds is a memory from back in the day! :lmao:
Fisherman's Inn? Bunky's, Pier One? Harbor Lights? How about the (inside) bar way at the back of Solomons Pier? If you can remember drinking in some of those you are way older than anybody I know!:buddies:
This is driving me nuts, what was the name of the Twenty One Club before it became Adam's Rib? I vaguely remember somebody drove into the wall and blew a hole in it.
