I was reading that yesterday. :yay:
Only a 5-year warranty. I'm not a fan of enamel or colored stuff.
________

I really like Scanpan (Pro or Classic):
# Heavy-duty pressure cast aluminum base for perfect heat distribution

# Scientifically researched optimum pan base thickness to heat up quickly, distribute heat evenly and retain heat better than any other pan.

# Guaranteed no hot spots

# Will not warp, peel, blister or crack

# Browns, sears and deglazes

# Perfect food release, easy to clean

# No pre-oiling or seasoning needed

# Suitable for all stove tops (excluding induction)

# Cast 18/10 stainless steel handles stay cool longer

# Heavy-duty stainless steel rivets permanently secure handles to pan body

# Safe to use with metal spatulas

# Oven safe to 500 F (260 C)

# Dish washer safe

# SCANPAN PROFESSIONAL is PFOA free

# Made in Denmark

# Full Lifetime Warranty

I found a "Try me" price online for a small 8" pan ($40). I think I'd like to try it and see if 2A can ruin it first, before I sink that much moola into the other pieces I want.

Most non-stick is not for use with high heat and I like that you can use metal utensils on it and it's oven safe to 500* ...sounds like this stuff would outlive me if it's all that.

Sharon, you must have a lot more money than I do. :lmao:
That's because you spent all yours on the washer/dryer/corvette/fence and two more new cars.

Don't forget the the new fridge and stove and the water softener.

I want a decent set but I can't see paying close to what I paid for the stove to get one.

I forgot about those items. Plus, I don't spend close to what you do on animal upkeep. :cha'ching:

Just tell Otter it's either cookware or another puppy...you'll get it, guaranteed! :lmao:

I use these

I have a glass cooktop and they sit nice and flat.
I also bought my son a set. They love them, too.
Thanks. :flowers:

I saw these... "Technique Hard Anodized 13pc Cookware Set by CooksEssentials"
Tune in to QVC for Cook's Essentials, Tuesday, November 21, 2006 from 3 – 4 a.m
Maybe I can slip some earlpugs into 2A's ears and watch the show. :lmao:

I have calphalon and used it for about 5 years. The only problem is with my BAFP. It warped and now is a PITA. I saw a Pampered Chef person the other day and asked the price for a nice replacement $120 without a lid. :faint: $120 for a BAFP!

All the Pampered Chef cookware has a lifetime warranty. Why buy a set of store brand pans for $100, when you have to buy a new set every few years? Spend the money and never buy cookware again!! I love my set and use it all the time. :elaine:

You can also use them on all types of stoves, including glass top.

Personally, the only thing I cook with is Le Creuset. Nothing works better than cast iron for serious cooking, and the enamel makes it easy to clean and frankly, beautiful.

Don't buy me jewerly, but me Le Creuset! :)

Supposedly Tupperware has a lifetime warranty also but just try to find a consultant who will replace your stuff when you don't want to buy new stuff. They never call back.

I really don't care if it does wear out in 5 years....by then I'm ready for a new set anyway.

2012:
1) new car
2) new pots & pans

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Calphalon - - BUT - - you really have to go with the pro line to see the beauty of it all. Even buying the "Made for Target" series, it stands above the rest, IMO, but the serious cookware is da bomb. :hot:  :whew: Was it as good for you?
:yeahthat: We have the pro line. When C_Jo's out of town, I sleep with my sauce pan. :blushing:
