 Yakky, I haven't even met Laureng yet; I just assumed from reading her posts, seeing her picture on the board here after thr NYE party, that she was a virtuous young thing, about to to become an honest woman, etc., : what are we to make of her now??
My image of her is - Oh, I am crushed!
Repent Laureng!! It's not too late!

 I have to assume you're speaking figuratively rather than philosophically? This is the same fella who was calling for "Dean" at the last party? Tsk, Tsk, Tsk.

Really intriguing question. In my opinion a really simple answer. Marriage is a union. In the traditional sense children are the results of that union. The man, woman and child(ren) are the resulting union. Therefore they are as one. From a biblical sense there is one more (and the most important component) and that is the relationship to Christ thus forming the triad--Christ, Mom and Dad and the children. But if you haven't gone that deeply in your relationship consider that by trying to identify who deserves preferential positioning no one will be satisfied. But when you encourage everyone to try to make each other number one the benefits are worth the extra effort. This can be confirmed if you've ever worked for a company or organization that valued you and your input and made you feel wanted and appreciated. As opposed to I am only there to do my job. Even the paycheck isn't enough to keep you motivated. I know this is not a common environment we often find ourselves in but YOUR relationship is not common. It is special! Always work toward that goal.

There is no distinction in a union. Think relationship first and foremost!

It is ok... It is hip these days to have an mpd.. no need to be ashamed.

Some people judge their manhood by the size of, well, their manhood... Others by the number of mpd's they have!

Why should one have to come before another? I mean, I understand there may be problems where one think's you're spending too much time with the other, but such is life. There is only one of you, and you can only do so much.

If you look at this biblically, the Bibble says that the man is the head of the household and should be treated as so, but it also says that children are a gift...

maybe you need a personal organizer to schedule times for both... then, when those situations errupt that they both need you at the same time, then you need to see who has gotten more "time" in the past...

it's a tug, but nothing that should come to the point of stress...
