Who had "Chandler" in the "First Friend to die" pool?

aHA! There it is. Jumps in the hot tub and the ticker is all like, "No. Just no. We're done here."

He likely hadorgan issues because of his extreme substance abuse, then the death vax didn't do him any favors, then he stressed his heart in the hot tub FTW.

Don't these people have doctors who tell them what to avoid in their condition? 🤔
Im pretty sure his Dr's advise was to lay off the drugs at some point, don't think he listened to that one.

What difference does it make what killed him? He is dead.
A drug addict, There is no such thing as an old junkie.
15 times he went to rehab? WTF , why waste the time.

He will be sadly missed by his supplier. By the way his supplier is probably supplying many more Hollyweird celebrities, and not one of them will turn him in to police. Maybe he was depressed by the big strike that no one cares about. These over paid and useless people who call themselves "artists" like that make them better than a hard working guy laying bricks. Being a good brick layer is an art too. You don't think so? Try it some time.
I don't know about that, there are quite a few old Rock and Roll musicians that seemingly can't be killed by anything.

Well, on his Instagram he hadn't posted in well over 6 months until recently.

He posted a picture of himself in a hot tub saying he is "Mattman" and a video of him putting cranberries on a table.

You know, Dolores O’Riordan from the Cranberries, lived in New York but traveled to London for work and died in a hotel bath tub.

Just odd. Celebrities are odd and it seems many haven't been seen out in public in ages.

Wow - where have I been? Did not hear about this. Not a Friends fan, but I just watched the Ron Clark Story yesterday when I couldn't find the Roku remote. The thing is so small it's annoying. I thought the movie was okay - he was decent in it.

Oh there was way more postings I missed.

You know his mom served as press secretary to Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau and his dad was an actor. His step-father a NBC Dateline guy.
Perry and Trudeau went to the same schools.

I am just amazed at how much connection there is between stardom and politics.

Anyway, It sure leaves his death in a cloud of mystery.

Pretty sure Dolores mixed the antidepressants with alcohol and passed out.

I don't want to rain on anyone's parade - but - a lot of celebrities left us this year, and I would probably place Matthew Perry somewhere near the bottom of it. He's getting an enormous amount of daily news but "Friends" ended almost twenty years ago. For a few cast members, it was the beginning of their career but for several - it was the high point and major point of it.

I don't think I ever saw more than twenty episodes, usually because it was ON when I stepped into the room and someone was watching. I never ever thought it was funny, and it just didn't make me laugh, although I did think some of the writing was good. Until this week, I didn't know what Chandler's last name was, and I don't think I know any of the other last names.

Admittedly, MOST comedies don't make me laugh but they can be entertaining. To me, Friends was popular because it was popular.

See, the problem is that you think because you didn't watch it, that means nobody watched it. But let me assure you that Friends has a quite large and nostalgically devoted fan base, and it is absolutely part of our pop cultural heritage.

Honestly it never occurred to me the Death Vax might have gotten him. I assumed his body finally cried Uncle at all the drug and alcohol abuse.

It's like the opposite of the gunshot death being blamed on COVID. The guy who eats 55 vicodin and drinks 3 bottles of jack a day dies and people jump to blame the shot. When Jimmy Carter dies mid-swing of a hammer while building another homeless shelter are we going to blame the jab?

Considering he's withering in a hospice bed inches from eternity, I doubt he's swinging any hammers.
