I agree with you completely. My personal discomfort with prostitution is strictly from an image and reputation standpoint--there are some people who find it morally repugnant. They look at it and assume that we don't have any pride in ourselves and our community.

I heard that the Rosie Spotted Whore is an endangered species, by the way.

I dont understand what the big deal is. You can find them anywhere and you dont have to pay for them. Just go to some bars and you can pick up a woman and she'll give it up. They may not call them self one. That is why so many marrages fall apart.

Prostitution was here but not strutting the streets unless the girls were walking to Rosies. Everyone knew it was there.
Rte. 235 and GMR near the base had topless bars and even the enlisted club on the base had female and male strippers.
I guess what makes it different now is seeing it in daylight on the streets :angel:

Exactly, as I remember ALL of that. :lol: Maybe the daylight spottings are new, but prostitution in the area is definitely NOT.

I lived in the LP City area in the 70's and early 80's. I also lived in the Flat Tops for a bit and it was quite an interesting experience. :yikes:

Hmmm, yeah I know someone who got caught up in that! OOPS!!! We all get a laugh out of it till this day...but seriously, of someone wants to go run the risk of catching the AIDS or some other sort of VD, I say let them. Prostitution is pretty much a victimless crime (unless the john is beatin up hookers, or the hookers are robbing them) so who cares? If they are so lame that they have to pay for it, let em. :elaine:

true...in some way or another, wether it be bartering a movie or food, we do all pay in one way or another....but whens the last time you gave your (wife, GF, whomever) cold hard cash for it? :whistle: Maybe I dont want to know.. :lol:
