Why are people so rude???

We're all mad here.
Here's one for you. Every now and then - in a fast food place, drive in window I will pay for the car behind me (if it's not too much money - I do ask first). It's kinda a random act of kindness thing. Anyhoo I paid for the two guys behind me - Wendy's Lexington Park, made a right on the way out headed down Great Mills to route 5. The car passed me a minute later and the guy driving had his window down, leaned out and gave me the finger.

Never have figured that one out.

Are you male? Perhaps he thought it was like another man buying him a drink at the bar! :lmao: If anything I'd assume that the guy twisted it up in his mind that you were insulting him...I can see it now..."That @#$%$ thinks I need THEIR help paying for my food?!".

Anyway, I don't care if you're a man, woman, rock, or mineral. You can pick up my tab anytime...

ABC liquor store has a sign that says :

Lighthouse Liquors in Charlotte Hall has one in their window too. Matter of fact, I'm starting to see them popping up lots of places.

I saw one at a drive through window that had that wonderful customer service pitch to it... "We'll be VERY happy to serve you once you finish your cell phone call"

IOW, "We're not opening this window until you hang up the damn phone"

Ok, I am just wondering why people seem to be getting ruder and ruder everywhere I go. Its the help in stores, as well as people in general. I was in Walmart last night and this woman was blocking the entire aisle. She just looked at me like she was shocked that I expected her to move. Then a few minutes later I was looking at one of the endcaps of an isle and she almost knocked me over. I finally said something to her, which she didn't like but it was uncalled for.

The checkout person as I was leaving didn't even great me, threw all my stuff in a bag and snacked my check out of my hand. I think if you don't like your job, quit but its not my fault you are having a bad day or you hate your job.

I am noticing this kind of behavior everywhere I go. Any ideas where its coming from?

That's why I stopped going to Walmart years ago. Yuck!!!

I have always had the worst problems at Walmart!! I remember when I was approaching my due date HUGE with my first child I was having some chocolate cravings. So I was waddling over to the check out to see the candy and I guess some woman thought I was trying to beat her to the line because she almost knocked me over with her shopping cart to get there first.
I pointed to my rather LARGE can't miss belly and said "are you kidding?". She just looked at me and whipped her head back around.

Funny thing is that when I moved here, one of the reasons I loved it so much, is because people were so much nicer than they were in Va Bch.

Just remembered....when I had my old car I was sitting in the McKay's parking lot with my driver window down looking for some change. An older gentleman walks over and looks at my car and his and then the space in between (I was parked with my front bumper facing his front bumper). He says, "You better have not hit my car!" I gave him the raised eyebrow and said, "Definitely not.". If I hit you car would I still be sitting there?

I do not know who to credit for this quote but a DJ on a radio station I listened to many moons ago always ended his shift by saying
"It's nice to be important but important to be nice"
