Yeah I think on Monday I will go and do that.......can't really during the day. Baby Daddy will be on the ship come thursday and I would hate having to bring the baby......considering that wouldn't be a very comfortable environment for her. In the meantime I will see how far I can get with this silly fafsa form online......

When you do your taxes in a couple months, remember to fill out a new FAFSA. Also, look through this scholarship list. Money has already been allocated for this school year, but you can apply for next school year.

definitely lets talk school. I want to major in biology, minor in psychology. always have wanted to do medicine. I am thinking I start out as an RN and move my way on up. For the month or so I did take college courses, I liked it. The teachers told me I was a very promising student. Now, three years later I hope I haven't forgotten all that I have learned. I was never strong in math, definitely my weak point. I love science and english, and I have no problem excelling in both. lets see, I know I have to fill out some kind of financial aid form....and from the looks of it....is rather complicated. I have my pin for it though. As far as I know, I am still registered as an active student at Tidewater Country Club which it is better known as....(Tidewater Community College, which has campuses all across the hampton roads area).....that would be a great idea Chasey! I would love to know someone taking some of the same courses I am. I don't think I will be able to make it to the actual class....so I might wind up doing online classes. My mother tells me that it would be a conveinence for me to take classes online and that I would procrastinate about doing the work. Yeah, she definitely always has something to say about everything. Rather opinionated, I think that is whereI get it from.

If you want to be a Nurse why major in Biology? Find a school that offers a BSN and go. IF you get accepted you would probably be able to go to school for free on state grants (critical shortage not need or finance based).

You can even opt to take your LPN exam at the end of the first year and work your way through the rest of school making 15 - 25 an hour part time.. at the end of your second year you take your RN boards (your last boards and license) and your pay goes up accordingly as an ASN (2 year RN).. then after you graduate after four years you get your BSN (4 yr RN). You can continue from there to get your Masters and become a Nurse Practioner (similar to a Physicians Assistant but with better pay and more responsibility), or a Nurse Anesthetist ($$$$$).. among many other options..

Almost ALL states have grants for nursing, and all you have to do is sign a letter of intent to work in the state that pays for your school for (usually) 3 or 4 years after you graduate.

A lot of states also have these for other critical majors.. Computer Science, Math, Physics.. Chemistry.. just to name a few.

BUT you have to fill out a FAFSA to qualify.

Because you're going about it the wrong way. You're supposed to give them the best rounds of S&F of their life... and then tell them you have kids.

see i would have said to hold out until after they know you have kids. if they have already tasted the goods then they have no reason to stick around.

Back in the saddle
I just picked up the class schedule for next semester. It's a toss between marketing and economics...:tap:

With :baby: due in April I'm taking the spring off.

Hoping to pick back up for a summer class. What degree are you going for?

Accounting here.
