Women are natural care takers.... Ugly men, require care. It's pretty simple when you break it down to it's simplest parts. :huggy:

I disagree, all people need care. Pretty people get more attention by virtue of being pretty. IMO Ugly people have some quality that significantly overrides being "cosmetically challenged". Fame, fortune, power, popularity and personality are field levelers. If Bob Dylan and Tom Petty were not a famous rich singers they would be trying to buy a hookers somewhere. If Willem DaFoe was not a rich famous actor people would make fun of him at parties. If Bill Gates were single and not rich cruising happy hour at the Holiday Inn he would get shot down in flames and chicks would roll their eyes at him and giggle.

I know many pretty people who are basket cases. They are coddled and boo-boo'd and catered after and have an easier go of it all their lives. Ugly people don't get the leg up, the extra consideration, the extra attention so they may be more resilient. Some ugly people collapse under the strain and are angry, some compensate and achieve one of the field levelers.

Males are genetically programmed to spread seed. The subconscious goal is to plant it in the full lipped, big chested hotties with great asses in order to make pretty offspring. 100 men shown a pic of Heather Locklear will pick her over Roseanne Barr. Even if you told them after that Locklear was poor and Roseanne was wealthy 99 would still pick Locklear.

Women also look for the barrel chested V shaped smooth skinned Adonis. George Clooney would beat out Bob Dylan. But if you told then after that Clooney was poor and lived in a trailer in his moms front yard and Dylan was wealthy and successful Dylan would get more consideration from chicks than Roseanne Barr got from the guys.

I am not saying that women are gold diggers, I am saying men look for hotness, women look for a "provider".

Actually I have no clue, I just made this up.

You are overlooking the fact that many women have security issues of their own. Picking up an ugly guy to care for makes perfect sense and builds up broken security lady.

Women love providers I have a great friend who is majorly overweight. On his myspace he has this awesome picture of a Fat guy with a hottie and it say's, "How to spot a rich guy!"

Can't be short sighted and put everyone in a box. We all have needs.

I'm not buying it. I have never seen an attractive chick with a homely loser for the sake of rescuing him and caring for him. Women will get the best "pretty value" they can get whereas men don't care about value as long as they are hot and their friends will drool and go :yay: :lmao:. Pretty people generally know they are pretty and don't suffer from a lot of the stressors cosmetically challenged people do. I am not talking about people with psychological disorders. I often wondered how so many hot women do porn :lmao:

I don't think you are too far off on that analogy. Quite honestly, I have never seen an attractive female with an unattractive male strictly for rescuing him. I wonder what it is that draws people to people? If a goodlooking man was dating an unattractive female, would he leave her for an attractive one?

Are you insinuating that Roseanne Barr has a good personality?

If Roseanne Barr magically turned into a turbo-hottie, but everything inside remained unchanged, I'd still pick a bee-filled tree knot over her.

Lets say (hypethically speaking) Roseanne Barr had a good personality. She was honest w/a good soul but not the most attractive. She put forth effort to try to keep herself up, and you had an opportunity to date Heather Locklear who is all that and a bag of chips and a pickle, would you dump Roseanne for Heather?

Stop denying you have the Rosanne Barr swim suit poster in your room.

We'll she'd have to have one hell of a personality makeover.

Yet, in the spirit of honesty - I'll answer "probably not".

I am finding, however, as I advance in age, that looks do not mean as much to me as they once did. This is not to say that they don't mean anything, I'm just saying that putting the above question up there leaves so many variables unanswered that it's impossible to say.

And perhaps, for me, Heather Locklear is not the best example. I'm not much of a fan of the blonde, playboy bunny types. Never have been. My tastes, insofar as appearance goes, is oftentimes unorthodox.

:lmao: Thats cute. I guess if your dating him, that puts him on the spot huh? Sorry about that. As far as I'm concerned any man can answer the question, not necessarily directed to him.

Nope, he's happily married to some awesome lucky woman. But I'm next in line. :lmao: So technically I was putting him in the hot seat.

Seriously, I think a huge part of it is evolution and what kind of genetic make-up we have as to what we find attractive. I hate to say we all grow up to marry men like our dads - but we do on some level. :ohwell:

Also in this day and age, it's not about survival of the fittest, but of the most intelligent. In this case, more and more non-GQ guys are considered :hot: because of what else they bring to the party in the way of intellect and skills. Or at least in my case I find the :nerd: type super :hot:

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

I've dated some extremely gorgeous girls. I've dated some girl next door types too.

Each one of them had something that I thought was sexy about them.

Physical attraction gets your foot in the door, but after that you have to close the deal and show that you have more to offer than just a pretty face.
