Wii Fit

I'm pretty sure there is a way to turn them off....I have to look at mine though, I haven't played in a while. Their voice does get annoying.

Isn't there a game for the Wii Fit that came out with the girl from the Biggest Loser? I want that!

I wouldn't know. I'm deaf. It's easy to ignore it if you can't hear. Try using earplugs to keep enjoying the Wii Fit.

Actually, Vrai is right!

I have way too much fun with the Wii Fit than I would ever had in the gym. I hated the gym. Too many people, sweat smells, fart smells, etc. No thanks....

Also, the best part is not having to wait to use the machine. I can use it whenever I want to!

We got one for a family gift for Christmas. It has the Sports games and we got the WiiFit too. It's killing me to have to wrap it up and surprise the step-kids. I want to go play!

Just called Gamestop in California, MD. They have the Wii Fit, If you call they can hold it for you for a little while. I'm going to get mine on my lunch break!:yahoo:

I bowl overhand
Wii Fit is missing stretching exercises. And my trainer talks too much - makes my heart rate go down.

Is there a way to stop the trainer from being so chatty?

I think on the Wii it's the 'B' button. It will skip the voice and go right to the next step.. UNLESS the talking is just fill while the game is loading in the background

Do you need the actual wii as well, or can you just get the wii fit?

Well, I finally got to try Wii Fit this past weekend and it was a good way to workout I think. I couldn't figure out if there was any way to get the trainer to stop talking either though because it seemed like the sort of thing that was there to make it appear as if you were actually in a Yoga class or whatever..and you don't generally tell the teacher to STFU in one of those...I wouldn't think
I didn't see a way, but I do wish there was a way to flow from one exercise to the next without having to wait through the talking and then select another one...

This game definitely gets a :yay: from me though...never thought I'd get a workout that actually made me sweat, from a videogame

Just wondering, but does anyone here really think Wii fit helps at all? I've never tried it, but there's something about a video game that is not so health inspiring. Perhaps it is effective, and that's why these things are selling like hotcakes! But I'd like to know from your experience. Does it actually make you sweat?:)

YES! The strength training and aerobics are a decent workout - the yoga and balance exercises are more for posture and body awareness. There's this super hula hoop workout that I can barely make it through and the Island Run is a good long jog in place.

As you get better and play more, the game will unlock new exercises that are more difficult, or give you the option of longer workouts.
