Will they go to heaven?

God doesn't want naked natives running around heaven.

No, of course not! First they'll be adopted by Brangelina, cleaned up and immunized and brought to an intermmediate home. At this point, Brangelina will have linguist and other specialist bring them up to a common communication level.

Once they are "housetrained" and clean shaven, they are taken to Rodeo Dr and outfitted properly.

During all of this time, the Jolie-Pitt household have been tutored on how to handle them, including hand signs and touch gestures.

The tribe will go to starter homes, where they will be socialized into every day living, including proper seasonal clothing and what they are to think about religion and politics.

If tribal members maintain newly learned socially acceptable behavior (to include, but not limited to grooming and entertaining), and are presentable, then yes, I think they will make it into Heaven.

That was a wonderful answer! :howdy:

Soul Probe
edit: oh look! they've been living in relative peace for years .... I guess the bible doesn't mysteriously instill morals like so many people think.

The bible isn't crucial to basic moral behavior. I believe that every man is born with certain morals in their heart, either via the soul or what have you. Even ancient civilizations had some form of morals with rules/laws and experienced love and beauty.

Tx - IMO, if a jungle man is ignorant of Christ to no fault of his own, and lives a life as dictated by the morals written in his heart, then he may obtain heaven. Perhaps not easily but it is possible. Jesus opened the gates of heaven, so even if a man didn't know of Jesus it is still by the merits of Jesus that he obtains it. So why preach Jesus? Because it makes living a moral life easier and allows a man to liver closer to human perfection, and therefore heaven more readily obtainable. It has been supposed by some theologians that there are layers (if you will) of heaven, and perhaps the jungle man won't obtain the highest realm of heaven whereas the good Christian man would.

Just some thoughts to further discussion.

That's an interesting opinion Radiant1, thank you for answering.

I concur with Radient 1. The natural law has been written on our hearts by virtue of the fact that we have all been made in the image and likeness of God. The Catechism of the Catholic Church does state that, as R1 said, it is still by the merits of Jesus' Sacrifice that those without knowledge of Him will be in Heaven.
If one must "know" Jesus in the conventional sense, then infants, people with severe Down's Syndrome and other mental challenges haven't got a chance. That is not the God I know and love.

that just seems kind of arrogant.

It seems to me that a good god wouldn't foist that upon the general populace.

Anyway, not trying to derail, but I call them like I see them.

What's arrogant? Believing that everyone is an image of God? or believing that we all have an inherent knowledge of right and wrong?
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. My position is that God will not condemn those who do not know Him. Do you think I'm saying otherwise?

Researchers have produced aerial photos of jungle dwellers who they say are among the few remaining peoples on Earth who have had no contact with the outside world.

So have at it, theists - these folks have never heard of Jesus. How will they get into heaven?

Okay, I'll give you the answer you're looking for. There is no God. How could there be if every person on the face of the earth hasn't heard of Him.

How's that? :buddies:

And thats an answer to a question i had posed previously.

If someone who doesnt know <insert deity here> (not meant to belittle, but this is a general question) and lives a life that is not a "Sin" to their beliefs, but is a "Sin" to yours, are they "Sin"ning ¿
Yes, they're sinning by your standards, - and - no, they are not sinning by theirs.

The correct answer is to know which standards to go by.

"Believing that everyone is an image of God?"

that one.

Really? That really stumps me. Arrogant on God's part or on my part? If the former (and this assumes He exists) then it seems quite humble of Him to share His Divine nature with us. If the latter, seeing all people as an Image of God keeps me in my place, knowing that I am somebody special as well as nobody special. KWIM?

Sucks to be them.

Hasn't this discussion already come to its conclusion in a manner that was satisfactory for you - like, a long time ago?
