How bad is it? :frown:

Any recommendations?

How long does the pain last :cds:

Too many variables for an easy answer. For mine, took about 1/2 hour, and I had to eat soft foods for a couple days. It was probably about as much pain as getting my braces tightened. Didn't even take the codeine.

I've known others who were in extreme agony and took a couple weeks to recover.

Are yours impacted? Are they accesible?

Not as bad as child birth and the recovery time is about the same. Couple of days of no sleep and some tylenol.

I recommend an oral surgeon to do it

:smack:

beyotch... my jaw was so swollen i could open it to get a :gossip: in it

... looked like i had two grapefruits in my mouth!

and even when i had the molars pulled.... :jet:... Tylenol 3 didnt do much for it!

I had a senior citizen diet for a while on each of these!!

Mine are out but they ####ing hurt!!!!!!!!!!!! :jameo:

They have been bothering me since I was about 19 and I... I just can't take it anymore. :cds:

Not bad at all...woke up with no pain.

Dr. Neal A Zabiegalski DDS (good surgeon AND he's nice to look at)

Pain lasted a couple of days. The worse part of it was adjusting to having holes in your head.

He's a good surgeon but likes to give you gas. When asked if I wanted more and replied no, he couldn't believe that someone wouldn't want more gas and cranked it up anyway.

The procedure really wasn't that bad for the tops. Dr. Lusby did those (I beleave he's now retired).
The bottom ones were no fun at all but nothing a few meds couldn't help with. I wouldn't send anybody to the guy who did those though (pm me if you want that name). The worst part of having mine done (the bottoms) was the dry socket a few days later. That was my fault though.

My jaw was swollen like a chimpmunk and I had two black eyes. Still doesn't compare to labor and child birth, and my whoo ha was more swollen after birth. :roflmao:

I want to know what you COULD open your jaw for :faint:

I had mine done at Tidewater. He gave me something to take in the morning on my way in, (a relaxer or something), then they numbed me up, I had all 4 done at once, took about an hour or so. I listened to ESPN or hunting channel (can't remember now), and that day I had a milk shake, the couch and tv, the next day was soft foods, with pain pills, I think I had pain pills for 2 days, maybe 3... then I was back to normal on day 4-5 just being cautious until the 'new holes' closed up.
