Rodriguez, according U.S. immigration officials, is a Mexican national with no right to work in the United States.:wah: But thanks in part to Holli’s Social Security number, he had found a decent life for his family in Escondido, :yikes: which means "hidden" in Spanish. But that that life was safe only if no one found out he was sharing Holli's identity.

:banghead: WTF :cussing:

Send his Lying Cheating WetBack ass, back ol Mexican['t keep there citizens home]

:confused:F'ing Reporter :poke: make is sound like I would feel sorry for the WetBack .... :blahblah: :blahblah: he live a good life ...

Stupid Bia'tch feels sorry for the guy who very well could have ruined her life ....

Mixed feelings
Holli had mixed feelings when she began her quest to track down her imposter.

"When all this began a month and a half ago, I was worried I might be ruining his life when all he wanted to do was work," she said. But the bureaucratic tangle had changed her. "Now after spending numerous hours of my time trying to find out what is going on as well as worrying, losing sleep and using my work vacation time, I no longer feel bad for Paulino. He made the choice to steal my number. And the fact that privacy laws keep me from being able to see what he is doing with my number infuriates me."

"It's not that these people intentionally and maliciously stole someone's name and identity. ... They may feel that they are using the number out of sheer need," she said.

If you do something Illegal to "Beat" the system ... I am pretty sure that is intentional .... :jameo:

Oh, illegal immigration is a victimless crime, right!? They only come here to work, or for a "better life for their families", right!? No, they're criminals the second they cross the border illegally, further that crime by stealing identities of innocent Americans, and they do it 100% FOR SELF BENEFIT. I'm tired of the apologists making excuses for these people. And I'm tired of them demanding "rights". Send them back where they came from. Just because most of them are Latino, doesn't make them special. They are subject to the same rules as any foreign national from anywhere else in the world. So why should they get special treatment? Send them home!!!!!

We are at war folks. They are just invading without weapons.

Mind numbing story about lady whose ssn was being used by an illegal immigrant and the turmoil she went through to resolve it.

Two lives, one Social Security number - The Red Tape Chronicles - MSNBC.com

The failure of government and law enforcement to help her is absolutely sickening.

Where did law enforcement "fail" her? Seems to me they arrested the guy? What part of apprehending this guy and locking him up is a failure?

Theft is theft,,what would you do if it was yours or any member of your family's ?
tell them you can't do anything ? If you are the law enforcement person you claim to be you will move heaven and earth to make matters right.
She didn't commit the crime but suppose the bastard cleaned out her 401 account...reply like the idiots and say"sorry, we regret your loss but can't do anything about it"
Or are you telling me that there are two different sets of laws : one for you and yours and one for the rest of us ?

You know they won't send him back. He will probably be given citizenship as a punishment and be allowed to stay. :banghead:

Unfortunately that is the insane truth. Just as much as those born to illegals here are auto citizens and their families "entitled" to the same rights we have earned the hard way.

First things first. If I were a member of your family, I would send you back to fifth grade so you could learn reading and comprehension. The reason for this is I questioned why “Law Enforcement failed” when Law Enforcement is the entity which locked this bad guy up. When a member of my family had this done, I assisted them in contacting the people who investigate these matters. I hope that adequately answers your question.

Good for you, or is this bruzilla under another name ?
What you don't want to comprehend is the insane circumstances she had to go through to get her life straight . You have just proved my point.

Holli then called the local police, who took a report but said nothing could be done. She contacted the Social Security Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, even her 401(k) administrator. The message she heard from each was the same: We can’t help you. She even went to an attorney, who delivered bad news.
Why should she have to go to these extremes to get the authorities to send him south?

This just burns me up. It should never be able to happen.:banghead: Now we know why the government isn't in a hurry to fix the problem.

Other then using her SSN, what did he do?

Not saying this is a bad thing in and of itself, but did he get credit cards that he didn't pay back? Buy a car and never pay for it?

Buy a house, trash it, and not pay for it?

According to the article him using it to get a job had no effect on her credit.

OK, you're upset about the illegals, I get that, but this seems like a decent hard working guy that's doing what needs to be done to take care of his family. No mention of him getting welfare benefits, disability, food stamps or any other governmnet aid using her SSN.

Seems like he's not even a 10th the criminal about 10 million Americans are.

He stole her identity...which means should he do any of those things that you say he didn't do, she would be in a world of hurt trying to clear her name and character. Would you rather wait until these things happen or nip the problem in the bud ? The burden and the cost would be on her to clear her name..not him.
He may be the decent man you say he is, but I wouldn't want to take the chance.

Well if someone from Mexico or Canada wants to live the American Dream, they shouldn't have to resort to crossing the border illegaly, and buying documents on a street corner. They are our neighbors and allies not our enemy.

I doubt this person knew what he was doing, other than getting a piece of paper that would allow him to get a job and to work to support his family.

We are supposed to be the beacon of freedom and democracy, but only for the people lucky enough to be born here?

If we opened up our borders and let every single mexican move up here and the last one shut the lights off on his way across the Rio Grande our economy would be booming.

AND we'd save BILLIONS of dollars a year guarding an unguardable border.

I hope that I never get into a situation that forces me to move to a foreign country where I don't know the language, know I'm not wanted, and everyone hates me to afford to give my family a decent life. Seems to me most of these Mexicans have a greater grasp on the American Ideal then most Americans.

I'd agree with you but it sounds too much like Democratic Rhetoric!!!
