Hello, does anyone know anything I can do from home and make REAL money. I am really not into Mary Kay or Avon so that would not work for me. And Dayare is out because 1 my home is not big enough, 2 my children go to school in a diffrent school district, than what I live in because of daycare. I can not and would not pull them out because I love the school and they are comfortable there. But the daycare bill is busting me a new one! Please anyone who does or know of any work from homes that really work PLEASE let me know! Thank you!

99% of "work-from-home" advertisements I've seen are scams. :ohwell:

If you have web development experience, you could start your own business doing freelance stuff.

What are you interested in? Medical transcriptions, stuffing envelopes, house cleaning (not from home but you can set your own hours), etc??

:yeahthat: The idea and concept of working from home blinds you to the realities of the situation. I've tried this about 10 different times.... all of them have been scams or the equivalent of earning just pennies a day

Good luck!! :huggy:

ANYTHING.. that I could make atleast 50-75% of what I make now something that is a good salary. Now don't get me worng I don't make too much but I hate handing over most of my paycheck to the daycare. And I woudl love to stay home with my kids but the only way I could is if I had income coming in other than Dear Husbands.

exactly ... unless you have your own business or work for a company that allows you some flexibility a day or two a week at your home office, it's likely a scam.

All I know is that I do have the option to work from home, but I just can't do it because I start thinking of all the stuff I should be doing at home...laundry, cleaning and so on.

Are you qualified to tutor kids having trouble in school?

Unfortunally not, I am in the legal field. Okay anyone ideas on your own business that does not cost an arm and a leg to start and something that would last? HUH...

Look.....Here You could offer legal forms online and teach people how to file for their own divorce etc...

Jersey attitude.
You can make decent money doing medical transcription, I had a friend who used to type for four hours a day. SHe went through an agency who would send her cassettes. It is probably the only thing an intelligent person can do and not go stark raving mad, and make some cash to keep a household running. You can do it after the kids go to bed, just have to meet deadlines. Do a search on the web for transcription services. You could do doctors notes, transcriptions of interviews in many industries (marketing company XYZ completes 50 interviews and tapes them and then wants someone cheap tp write them up).

I myself work from home, but as manager of a consultantcy to the pharma industry with 10 years experience behind me. Justifies my $70 an hour (well, the $70 I get after billing the client $120). :) But I get distracted with laundry, kid stuff, decorating, and riding horses when I get too much down time.

Good luck. It's out there, go do it.

If you have legal experience are there law firms that need outsourcing work done? Proofreading, transcriptions, online research? I have used several individuals who would do a Lexus/Nexus search on topics I needed info on.

Thank you all!

Do you have a law degree

You said you are in the legal field but don't make that much money and what you do gets forked over to child care. Can you narrow your interest down a little.... I might be able to weed out the fake scams for you if interested.

Exactly what Kain said.

If you are in the legal field there are lots of people out there that need certain documents drawn up and just can't afford to seek a regular attorney. I for a fact know that my attorney passes everything on to her paralegal (who works from home.) But of course still charges me an arm and leg...gotta love those attorney's.

Might be something to look into.
