thanksKVF, you may want to at least take a fecal sample to the vet so you know exactly what worm(s) your cat has. Then you can make sure you get a dewormer that will kill those specific worms.

ok crazyi know when my cats were babies and had worms my vet made me bring them in for them to do the wormer on them when they had worms. They didn't let me do it myself. Plus they also didn't want my cat to have any food in her stomach when they gave her the wormer. KVF I would take her to the vet and have them tell you for sure what kind of worm it is as they know best and give you the right treatment instead of trying to play doctor yourself to save the cost of a vet visit.
Im just not sure if that will def work, has anyone else done this? Im all for savign some money, but i dont want to risk it not working on my baby.
ok crazy
I guess so. None of our cats, or the stray kittens I caught and re-homed, have worms. Gave the dewormer to the kittens when first caught as a preventative. Figured that with them having been wild that they probably picked them up.have u tried it? Does it work? thanks
I have numerous feral cats on my property-I know they all had tapeworms-they eat wild things! I went to my local Southern States and picked up a bottle of "tape worm tabs" (Tradewinds)-contains 23 mg. of praziquantel in ea. tab.-followed the directions. The cats look healthier and aren't as ravenous! Easy peasy!
 i need to lose a few pounds anywayOMG! If they are on your bed I hope they haven't entertwined themselves into your mattress You might want to strip your bed, shut off the light, and use a flashlight to double check. (they come towards the light). If they crawl in your ears at night - you usually don't show symptoms for months!!
My vet actually told me to go to Southern States and get the wormer, rather than bring in all of mine at the time (7 plus farm kittens). It worked wonderfully!!! I just put it in their food, and cleaned the littlerbox!!!
It also worked really well for outside farm cats too....
