I know there is a City in CO that has a kayaking course and park right in the middle of town. Was that CS?

Colorado Springs think it is about 70 miles west?? of Denver. You can see Pikes Peak it is about 10 miles from downtown, and the Air Force Academy is about 14 miles from downtown Colorado Springs

Walking for a cure!!
If you get to CS, and have the time (and like horseback riding) there is a riding tour through The Garden of the Gods that is amazing!

Grand Junction CO. Son will be here longer than I thought so I am doing it. Fly out, rent car, get room, rent a bike to ride the Colorado national monument. Check out the place.

My SIL lives south of Colorado Springs (to the SE of Grand Junction). Beautiful area and friendly people. Visit a cigar lounge! Please wear a motorcycle helmet. :huggy: You can take 550/50 and ride through the National Forests if you want to head that way.

If they rent bikes other than Harleys, try and rent a bike that can actually turn

Howdy ! While you're out that way , may I suggest ...............

Estes Park ( make sure you stop at the Baldpate Inn
Rocky Mountain Nat Park ( be a cool ride around the rim)
Get up into Cheyanne and see the Grandaddy of them all .....Frontier Days
Cross 80 and head up thru Pinedale into Jackson Hole .

We did a 5 week loop around Colorado and Wyo years back , best trip I've ever experienced . :yahoo:

That is the ride I want to do. Been to Jackson Hole and Cheyenne, long time ago though.

I'd rather rent one I am fairly familiar with. They sell BMWs too, but don't rent them.

Probably a good idea.

One of the stats we mention in class is that an experienced rider's odds of crashing go up for several months on a new bike.

I would like to, but don't have the time for it. Plus I would probably hate my bike by the time I got there and sell it.

No time???? How can you not have time? How can you not make the time?

Figure 3 days each way. That's six. Dewd, seriously.

Let me ask this: have you done an epic solo? If so, I will shut up.
