I don't expect any better from them, but I've heard so-called Republicans and conservatives bust on Romney and insist that he was such a terrible candidate that he personally ushered in Obama's second term, which is absurd.

Romney was a successful CEO and money man. A heartless cost cutter and dead weight hatchetman. Republicans should have been french kissing his butthole instead of sniping about him.

Doesnt that just lend itself to the fact that republicans are stupid ?

I dont care what you or the media says. Romney / Ryan was a no win ticket for the R's no matter how you slice it. He was to rich, to out of touch, to phoney and lastly.....to white.

Those republicans who were busting on him still punched his chad. It was the fence leaners and independents who turned away and lost it. Face it the donk meat grinder is their most valuable weapon. They are experts at it and use it like a switch blade. Look at NHBoy, he does hundreds of drive by absurdly retarded Donk op/ed threads a week here. 2% might have some validity which could be debated but 98% of them are just abhorrent garbage written by a liberal blogger and foisted as fact.

If Mother Theresa announced a run for the Senate as a Republican and within minutes there would be 100 blog and HuffPo articles alleging she was in fact a whore who stomped puppies and had 9 abortions.

I'm not sure there was a last straw. I think that I just began to let myself look at things through a no party affiliation way. So many things are not quite as I thought and I am sick to death of political correctness and entitlement.

First thing to do is to drop party affiliation, they look at those numbers more than anything else.
Decreasing the numbers forces them to start looking at why.
Then if you really want to go all out, change to libertarian, once they have enough numbers, they will be eligible to be considered equal with the republicans and the democrats, then when that happens, you end up with a lot of the current republican states going libertarian and some of the swing states heading that way too.

in the first place, the majority of dopers would be jumping over and voting third party for the benefit of legal pot. This is also a reason that I dont want it legalized right yet, its a good selling point to get the dems and republicans out of office when that time comes.

He may be a good businessman, but a terrible choice for President.

He constantly said he'd do away with Obamacare, but never explained his side of it. Afterall, Obamacare was modeled after Romneycare, which is a disaster itself.

He taxed the hell out of MA when he was Gov.

MA govt. spending was out of control while he was Gov.

He got tons of money from the banking industry....I wonder why. The "establishment" loved him.

Hardly any jobs were created during his stint as Gov.

He loved the Wall Street bailouts.

Soft on illegal immigration.

Tough gun control laws, and liked them.

Not to mention the lack of ability to argue any point.


So, unless the Republican party has turned from a limited govt. party to Democrats who don't like gay marriage, yes, he was a horrible candidate.

I can't wait to see what shmuck they come up with next time.
