This could be a cookout, camping trip, picnic or whatever as long as it's al fresco.

Along the same line. I knew a guy that worked on a charter fishing boat. 1 day the client was a business that sent some employees fishing. They even provided food including a platter of fried chicken. Anchored over a reef they bottom fished for grouper, snapper, etc.

The anglers ate the chicken and tossed the bones over the side. Later when they cleaned the fish, many of the larger fish had chicken bones in their stomachs. I guess that is what coined the term chicken of the sea.

I'm adding andouille sausage and atomic buffalo turds to my list of foods. Grilled corn is also pretty tasty. I'm sure I'll add a few more foods in the next few weeks.

Picked up some of that andouille yesterday and grilled it last night. That stuff is goood. Threw in some smoked pork chops on the grill and viola.....dinner.

Went to a music fest in PA a few years back... a grillin' guy there introduced me to grilled ear of corn smeared in BBQ sauce... oh my word it was the bomb-diggity... If you've never put BBQ sauce on your grilled corn you must give it a try.

My favorite outdoor food grilled marinated chicken breast. You can eat it hot off the grill or grab the chilled leftovers and num num num.

We've done andouille and have been trying various other types of sausages from Nick's on the grill all summer! FH's mom brought us some jalapenos from her sister's garden and he fixed the atomic buffalo turds wirh them. He used prosciutto in place of bacon. Good eats!
