Congratulations!!Daddy_O said:Just finished submitting my first college papers...woohoo!
now hopefully the grades will match my enthusiasm.....
Those were two others we played in high school. I especially love "Artistry in Rhythm." Like I said before, I had an AWESOME band director. Funny thing is I see his face here all the time in one of the ads.Railroad said:I like "Sing, Sing, Sing," too! My Dad's favorites were Stan Kenton's "Artistry in Rhythm" and Duke Ellington's "'A' Train."
How absolutely awesome!I have another first, along the same lines: The night I returned from the Persian Gulf, my wife and I booked a room in Annapolis, and ate supper in the Maryland House. As we were eating, a small combo came in and set up, and commenced to play some awesome jazz - turned out to be Charlie Byrd! And we escaped paying the cover because we were (I guess) unnoticed, even though we were probably 20 feet from Charlie himself.
I'll bet it was indeed!! How awesome for you!!jazz lady said:My all-time favorite (so far) is seeing Dizzy Gillespie at Blues Alley. He actually touched my shoulder as he made his way to the stage and I almost fainted. It was truly a magical evening!
You forgot to mention your first apartment... I gave that Frigidaire box to you with love...nomoney said:First kiss; Third grade- scott somethingorother

The whole day was awesome. It started out at a Greek Festival to try all the wonderful food, then went to see "Cats" at the National Theatre for an afternoon matinee, and finally had dinner & Dizzy at Blues Alley.Railroad said:I'll bet it was indeed!! How awesome for you!!
WOW!! What a DAY/DATE!! You were one lucky lady that time!jazz lady said:The whole day was awesome. It started out at a Greek Festival to try all the wonderful food, then went to see "Cats" at the National Theatre for an afternoon matinee, and finally had dinner & Dizzy at Blues Alley.
My first time in a car was so uncomfortable for both of us (back seat of a Mustang II) that I vowed to get a different car. I bought a Vega station wagon. Before I had a chance to try it out, she dumped me...or we dumped each other...or whatever.K_Jo said:The first time I did it in a car was at Chaney Field in Waldorf in my boyfriend's white 2-door Ford Escort. He said that because there wasn't a lot of room in the car, he had to do it really fast, so I don't really remember it.
I made my own luck, because I set it all up. But it was phenomenal, even if I did fall asleep in the middle of "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" back at the hotel.Railroad said:WOW!! What a DAY/DATE!! You were one lucky lady that time!
So you took yourself out for a really good time!! Excellent - that's being GOOD to yourself, something we should all do once in a while.jazz lady said:I made my own luck, because I set it all up. Don't cut corners and stay in the front seat... nothing draws attention faster than someone's backside hitting the horn accidently...Railroad said:My first time in a car was so uncomfortable...

Tried the front passenger seat of a '68 GTO, but the seat didn't recline! It sure was fun trying, though.kwillia said:Don't cut corners and stay in the front seat... nothing draws attention faster than someone's backside hitting the horn accidently...
