:poorbaby: I've got fish cookn'in the fat fryer... :yum:  Do you have any fish batter recipies I could use for next time?
No, I don't. I don't really like fried fish. Once in a great while I'll have fried catfish out. I'd much rather have it broiled. :yum:

OMG! That was MY first drunk. My stepfather and best friend's father thought it would be funny to serve us sloe gin fizzes. We got hammered - I think we were about 13 years old. My sister asked my mom why I was in bed singing to myself. :lmao: The hangover the next day was a killer. :bawl:

I haven't touched sloe gin since then. :ohwell: Like you, the mere THOUGHT of it makes me gag. :twitch:

I am truely happy for him, his fiance' is nice, lovely lady, but isn't it weird that I would still get all misty over it?? It's like, I'm losing a brother or something now. We have been good friends most of our lives, I love his family and we email each other all the time. He used to call me from boot camp when he got homesick.
:sniffle:
I will never forget tha last time I saw him. I was down in the bottom of Luray Caverns and stood next to him in the dark for ten minutes before looking over and nearly fainting when I realized it was him. He had his fiance's whole family down there.
I never would have expected to see anyone I know, much less someone I hadn't seen in a few years, all the way down in that cave in the dark..:lmao:

My first car was a '79 Pontiac Ventura - white with blue vinyl interior - no power anything!

My first drunk was Sloe Gin - snuck drinks in the basement with my girlfriend while the rest of the family was asleep! My friend was drinking Creme de Menthe - yep, you guessed it! It was Christmas time! Ironically, red and green!

My 2nd care was a Plymouth Horizon, gawd I hated that car. POS, would take me from point A to point B and leave my ass there. 3rd car, a Pontiac Grand Prix, 1985, crush red interior. I loved that car, just hated fish tailing in the rain and snow.

You folks have some great firsts! Kizzy, you had a real day of firsts yesterday! :yay:

My first accident: 3 weeks after I got my license, hit a redneck in a pickup with my Cadillac in the rain.
My second and third accident: 3 weeks after I got my license, hit a redneck in a pickup with my Cadillac in the rain. (WET FOOT KEPT SLIPPING OF THE DANG BRAKE PEDAL AND HITTING THE GAS!!) :yikes: Dad coated EVERYTHING with Armor-All, including the pedals. Not good juju when wet.

My first job: Had a lawnmowing service. Mowed 4 or 5 houses and a 1/4-mile strewtch of parkway shoulder every week. Had bad hay fever and poor allergy medication...Mr. Primatene was my friend!!

First meal I cooked by myself: Beef Stew from scratch. Took a whole Sunday to cook it. It yielded so much (5 quarts) that I was knocking on neighbor's doors trying to give it away.

My first drunk: I don't recall, I was really drunk at the time.

My first puff on an illegal substance: Began an afternoon of getting totally blitzed on the shoreline of a local creek in 1971 when I was 13. Next door neighbor's kid provided it. After that, because of the many drugs, things were pretty much a blur until late 1978.

My first model kit: A SPAD XVIII biplane. Dad had to build most of it.

My first train set: O gauge American Flyer. It was a figure 8 layout on a piece of plywood. The set included a 4-4-2 Atlantic, an 0-4-0 switcher, and 4 - 6 cars of various descriptions.
