I only watch the try outs or whatever, after that...I could care less about any of them.....especially this time of year with sports and yard work, and everything else going in...when I do get in for the night, AI sure as hell aint on the list of things to watch

I have a hard time understanding why "reality" TV is so popular. I watch to be entertained. When I want reality, I turn the TV off

It's their show. They can do whatever they want to maximize the ratings and profits. You being from a socialist country like Canada probably don't understand that companies need to make a profit for their owners in order to stay in business.

Actually - they do too have the right to rigg the votes. It's not like it's a public election.


I don't think that they do rig the votes - that would be extremely very bad-bad-juju for their ratings if were ever discovered - but they're a private company whose primary function is to attract ratings, and if they feel the need to fix their own contests to garner ratings, well - they have the right.

It would doom them to oblivion because nobody would ever watch or vote again - but it is their show.

And it's not just you. This happens on many boards that I'm on - and it often happens in real life.


I just love it when I'm talking to someone about something, and someone else comes up, and feels the need to vocalize how much disinterest they have in the subject. It's even funnier when they wonder aloud how anyone else could possibly find it interest.

True but wouldn't it be a shame if they were exposed. One less reality show.
