He had a long time to decide if he wanted to drive down a street full of people. If all he wanted to do was drive away, he didn't have to turn, and continue to drive down, a street packed with people.

Heyer's fault is sickening. One need not read past sentence one to understand what the author is trying to accomplish with that (i.e. spelling he name wrong, assuming that's even her). Fortunately for them, people like you, and Bob, and Gilligan, and others, eat it up without batting an eyelash. You all don't even care enough to apply the same level of scrutiny to this baseless meme as a story from major news publications.
